Description
The Alfa Fellowship Program is a development exchange
program placing qualified young media professionals in organizations in Russia.
It is a distinguished international initiative that each year offers up to
18 accomplished young Americans, Britons, and Germans the opportunity to complete
a high-level professional development program in Russia. Its goal is
to develop greater intercultural understanding and advance U.S.-Russian,
U.K.-Russian and German-Russian relations. The next program will run from
March 2017 to April 2018 and includes intensive Russian language training,
seminar series and extended professional experience.
Eligibility
Candidates must be U.S., U.K. or German citizens;
Russian language proficiency is preferred but not
required;
Journalists must have at least two years of experience if
they have a graduate degree or six years of journalism experience if they
don’t.
Fellowship
Fellows will receive a monthly stipend, all program
related-travel costs, free housing and insurance.
