The European Consumer Organisation is looking for a
motivated Trainee in the area of Energy.
BEUC has a membership of 43 well respected, independent
national consumer organizations from 31 European countries. BEUC acts as the
umbrella group in Brussels for these organisations and our main task is to
represent our members and defend the interests of all Europe’s consumers.
BEUC is currently looking for a trainee who will assist the
BEUC Energy team in its advocacy work on the ‘Clean Energy for All Europeans’
package.
The tasks of the position shall include:
Help develop and keep up-to date information on European
affairs and provide support and policy summaries for lobbying actions
undertaken by the team members;
Conduct specific research on topics related to energy and
sustainability;
Assist in the organisation and follow-up of meetings (e.g.
management of logistics, background documentation, report writing);
Analyse and translate documents from BEUC’s members
magazines;
Participate in conferences and meetings (taking minutes from
events for the Energy team).
The successful applicant should:
Hold a University degree;
Have good organisational, communication and writing skills
(essential);
Have a very good command of English (knowledge of other
European languages is an asset);
Have the ability to work independently and as part of an
international team;
Have a good knowledge of how EU institutions work.

6 months
