Description
 UNSSC provides a work environment that reflects the core values of the United Nations: integrity, professionalism and respect for diversity. The United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) with its headquarters in Turin, Italy, is the United Nations institution for system-wide knowledge management, learning and training for the staff of the United Nations system. The College is expected to play a pivotal role in contributing to UN reform, the development of a common culture based on effectiveness, expertise and continuous learning through the development, co-ordination and provision of cross-cutting learning programmes which impact on all agencies and staff.
Under the overall guidance of the Senior Manager, Peace and Security and the direct supervision of the Course Coordinator, the Intern will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Maintain the “Safe and Secure Approaches in Field Environments” (SSAFE) programme database;

Inserting lists of participants received from the field into the database;
Following-up with SSAFE focal points in the field to obtain missing data; and
Maintaining lists on SSAFE courses planned in 2017 worldwide;
Contribute to marketing and communications efforts, through the drafting of information pieces and correspondence;
Contribute to administrative tasks as required, internal discussions and meetings, note taking and report writing, and support Course Coordinator(s) in coordinating and following up with Finance and Administration on e-learning related issues;
Provide support to e-learning course design, development and delivery;
Support facilitation of online courses on UNSSC UNKampus and webex, in collaboration with Subject Matter Expert(s) and development vendor(s); Update online courses as per instruction;
Contribute to record keeping and provide coordination for online learning participants during the delivery of online courses;
Provide technical support to e-learning development process as required, through tasks such as:

Previous work experience is not required. Practical experience in the design, development, and delivery of a range of learning products, including e-learning is highly desirable;
Fluency (written and oral) in English;
Knowledge of online learning and social media tools; proven ability to use Microsoft Office, internet browsers and online platforms.

The intern will receive 450 EUR per month.

Description
Since 1977, International Institute for applied Systems Analysis (IIASA)’s annual 3-month Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP) offers research opportunities to talented young researchers whose interests correspond with IIASA’s ongoing research on issues of global environmental, economic and social change. From June through August accepted participants work within the Institute’s research programs under the guidance of IIASA scientific staff. Funding is provided through IIASA’s National Member Organizations.
The Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP) provides a unique opportunity to:
Advance your research under the direct supervision of an experienced IIASA scientist;
Broaden your research interests by working in IIASA’s interdisciplinary and international research environment;
Build contacts with IIASA’s worldwide network and collaborate with the institute during your future career;
Produce a paper which will be the first step towards a publishable journal article.
Eligibility
PhD student (ideally about 2 years prior to receiving a PhD);
Have a field of research  is compatible with ongoing research at IIASA;

Grant
The stipend varies slightly among NMOs, but usually it is EUR 1310 per month plus airfare. IIASA will finance up to 3 candidates from developing countries which are not members of IIASA.

Media & Campaigns Intern

ONE is a global campaign and advocacy organization co-founded by Bono and backed by nearly seven million people from around the world and every walk of life that are committed to the fight against extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa. We hold world leaders to account for the promises made to the poorest, and we press them to support better policies and more effective aid. We also work with leaders in Africa to support greater democracy, accountability and transparency so these resources can be effectively deployed. ONE has offices in Berlin, Brussels, Johannesburg, London, New York City, Paris and Washington DC.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Media and Campaigns Intern who will support our Brussels team with the development and delivery of our public-facing campaign work and with online, print, and social media. This internship will begin Mid-January 2017 and will run for six months. The ideal candidate will be a great team player who is sympathetic to ONE’s issues and is able to handle a varied and fast paced role. Familiarity and understanding of EU processes, and international development and interest or experience in Africa are strongly preferred. The Campaigns/Media Intern will be based in our Brussels Office and will report to the Media Manager.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Support ONE’s Media Manager in its activities;
Maintain relations with relevant EU media outlets and Brussels-based correspondents from national media in EU Member States;
Help manage ONE’s social media accounts (mainly Twitter), and work with colleagues across ONE to develop assets and content for social media;
Draft blogposts and manage visual content such as photos and videos of events;
Monitor the media in Brussels and Belgium, identifying trends and opportunities for ONE;
Support the Campaigns Manager with logistical planning of events and the implementation of other operations projects as required;
Support the implementation of our Youth Ambassadors programme in Belgium. This will include keeping up to date and accurate records of the Youth Ambassadors programme assets as well as all supporting project management documents;
Support ONE’s campaigning and membership work with a particular focus on ONE’s campaigning efforts on transparency, gender and aid budgets;
Promote the work of the campaigns team and our membership in Brussels and across Europe, within the organisation and outside;
Respond to public email enquiries;
Provide general administrative support as required;
Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or the designee.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

The European Fund for the Balkans (EFB) announces the new call for applications for its flagship Fellowship programme for Government Officials. It is a one-year practice-oriented educational programme which is supporting the Western Balkans’ administrations by educating and motivating the public officials to practice and advocate the European principles of public administration. 20 best applicants for the ninth generation of decision-makers of tomorrow who want to shape the regional and European collaboration using their energy and enthusiasm will be chosen.
The core purpose of the programme is to give impetus to the EU integration-driven reforms of the Western Balkans’ administrations, through building the capacities of individuals who are acting as the agents of change. The programme targets ambitious young government officials with a strong commitment to contributing to the development of their societies who are lifelong learners, acquiring skills and broadening their horizons throughout their careers.

Founded in 1479 as one of the four original faculties of the University of Copenhagen, the Faculty of Law, situated in the heart of Copenhagen, boasts a long-standing reputation for excellence in teaching and research. The PhD Programme
The goal of the PhD Programme is threefold: to prepare candidates for a continuing career in teaching and research; to educate a new generation of scholars to produce high-quality independent research; and to equip them with the analytical and problem-solving skills required for a successful career in both the public and private sectors.
Qualifications
Applicants must have obtained a degree that corresponds to the Danish Master of Laws or equivalent qualifications (see http://studyindenmark.dk/study-options/admission-requirements). Applicants must have obtained a minimum overall grade average of 8.2 or above at the Master's level in accordance with the Danish grading scale (for Danish scale, see http://studyindenmark.dk/study-options/the-danish-way-of-teaching-1/the-danish-grading-system) Applicants for the integrated 3+5 PhD programme must have obtained a degree that corresponds to the Danish Bachelor of Laws (180 ECTS) or equivalent qualifications;
Applicants may submit their application before they have completed their Master's degree (or, for applicants for the integrated 3+5 PhD programme, before they have earned the Bachelor's degree), however, they should have submitted the final evaluation for their course before 1 June 2017;
Applicants must document an aptitude for research through the meritorious assessment of their final thesis, publications or academic recommendations in order to show that they are capable of undertaking the demanding task of writing a PhD thesis;
Applicants must have excellent language skills in English and have excellent communications skills. Applicants must be able to teach at an academic level in Danish or English and to follow PhD courses in English;

Successful PhD candidates are required to
Actively engage in the research environment at the University of Copenhagen; participate in international conferences, courses and meetings relevant to their research project;

Contribute to teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in Danish or English offered by the Faculty of Law;
Conduct independent and high quality research under the supervision of a senior member of academic staff at the Faculty.

We advise you to have the following documents ready before you begin your online application:
Research project proposal. This should include the following: (1) objective(s) of the research, (2) major research questions, (3) review of relevant literature, (4) methodology to be applied in the research, and (5) a timetable that plans for all course requirements to have been met within three years. The project description must elaborate on the value of the proposed research project in terms of its relevance to existing and future research in the field (maximum 6 pages excluding bibliography). The document must be in Times New Roman, font size 12, spacing 1.5 and all margins (right, left, top and bottom) of 2 cm;
Curriculum vitae (maximum 2 pages);
Diplomas and transcripts. Certified copies of original diploma(s) and transcripts (both Bachelor's and Master's degree) in the original language and an authorized English translation if they are issued in other language than English or Danish;
Grading scale. A certified explanation of grading scale in the original language and an authorized English translation if it is available in other language than English or Danish;
Supervisor. The name of a member of academic staff whom you wish to have assigned as your supervisor. You do not need to contact the supervisor but simply make a request in your application;
Letter of motivation. Explaining the choice of the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen as a host institution for the proposed project and outlines how the project fits within the research priorities at the Faculty (maximum 1 page);
Documentation of English level. Documentation of English level can for instance be documented by an excellent IELTS or TOEFL test.

The recruitment process
After the expiry of the deadline for applicants the Dean will pre-select PhD applications that will proceed to the assessment stage upon the recommendation of the Selection Committee. Applicants are pre-selected for further assessment in line with the Faculty's recruitment needs as described in this job advertisement. This is carried out based on the overall assessment of the applicant's educational qualifications, the quality of the submitted research proposal and its relevance to the Faculty's research agenda, and other relevant qualifications (e.g. relevant professional experience, any previous academic publications etc.).
All applicants are then notified by the PhD administration as to whether their application has proceeded to the assessment stage. This assessment is carried out by an expert assessment committee. Selected applicants will be notified of the composition of the assessment committee. When the committee has completed its assessment, each applicant has the opportunity to comment on the assessment. . A number of qualified applicants will be invited for an interview.

If you are offered a PhD position, you will receive a regular monthly salary in accordance with Danish law and you will be entitled to an annual research budget. The Faculty does not provide accommodation.

Vienna Graduate School of Finance provides financial support to outstanding students from around the world. The VGSF programme is available for full-time PhD programme in Finance.
The Vienna Graduate School of Finance is a center of excellence in Finance, located in Vienna, Austria. Its main activities are academic research and PhD education. VGSF faculty members are very well connected in the international Finance community.
Eligibility
Successful completion of a relevant Master’s program or a relevant equivalent degree program in Finance at a recognized Austrian or foreign post-secondary institution of education;

Scholarship

Responsibilities:
