Vacancy for Communication Assistant (Intern) in Brussels, Belgium

The Young European Federalists are recruiting a Communication Assistant to work in the European Secretariat of the organisation in Brussels.

Communication-related tasks:
Support the development and implementation of the communication strategy of the organisation;
Support the external communication, including: website management, newsletter and press releases;
Support the internal communication of a European organization with 37 national sections;
Managing the social media accounts of the organization, including Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Flickr;
Contributing to the online magazine of the organisation: thenewfederalist.eu;
Experience in graphic design and project management is an asset
Other tasks:
The Secretariat of JEF Europe is small, the workload can be high at certain times and unexpected tasks often appear. All Secretariat members are expected to help each other with ad hoc tasks. These tasks would involve general administration of JEF Europe and project management.
Time investment: 
Working time of 38 hours per week. Work during weekends may occur whenever necessary with time off in lieu as compensation. The position requires travels in Europe several times during the year.
Type of contract and salary:
The position is an internship position
All interested candidates should be able to start working in the European Secretariat in Brussels from December 2016 for a period of 3-6 months (the exact dates will be discussed with the successful candidate). 
In line with the European Charter for Quality Internships and Apprenticeships (www.qualityinternships.eu),we can only accept applications from young people who can show that they receive financial support(Erasmus placement or other national scholarship programs) or who need to carry out an internship as integral part of their University degrees.
Monthly ticket for public transport in Brussels + travel reimbursements when travelling for JEF Europe
