EU Project Management & Communication Intern

The European Health Management Association (EHMA) is a membership organisation that that aims to build the capacity and raise the quality of health management in Europe. We have 170 members across more than 30 countries in the WHO region and beyond, bringing together the research, policy, and management communities. Our members range from hospitals to universities, from ministries of health to primary care providers, from management education schools to consultancies.
EHMA is currently looking for an Intern who is both knowledgeable and interested in EU project management and communication. The position offers an excellent and active learning experience for a minimum period of three months.
Duties:
Provide assistance in the management of EU funded projects
Provide assistance in the preparation of dissemination activities such as workshops and expert meetings
Provide input to and assist in editing written material, including publications, reports and briefings
Participation in meetings and conferences whenever possible
Required skills and experience:
Proficiency in spoken and written English (a recognised qualification is a strong asset)
Understanding of project management for EU funded projects
Computer literacy and familiarity with ICT tools such as web-based communication platforms
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). SharePoint
Be comfortable working in a small team and using own initiative
Additional skills and experience (not required but highly valuable):
Motivated, eager, and passionate about EU funded projects
Multitasker who takes initiative and can work independently
In addition to these fixed tasks, successful candidates will be asked to support the team with the organisation of the EHMA 2016 Annual Conference. Moreover, the intern will be involved in running of the EHMA office and is expected to help out with a variety of administrative and internal processes when necessary.
This internship will run for three months from January to April 2016 with the option of a further 3 month extension. Candidates must be eligible to work in Belgium. Please note this is not a salaried position, but EHMA is keen to offer a small stipend designed to cover subsistence costs.
