Internship at EUROCHAMBRES

EUROCHAMBRES is offering a unique professional experience to young graduates keen to gain first hand experience of the EU policy making environment. An internship position is vacant starting mid-September 2013 in the EU Affairs Department, for a period of three months, renewable once for up to a further three months. The intern will receive a gross allowance of 750 € plus luncheon vouchers.

What does the internship involve?

  • Support in the preparation of EUROCHAMBRES’ main annual economic publication (EUROCHAMBRES Economic Survey); Link
  • Research into EU policy issues concerning business and chambers;
  • Attending and reporting on relevant EU institutional meetings and external events;
  • Monitoring EU institutional activities and calendar;
  • Organisation of meetings (invitations, registrations, catering, minutes etc);
  • General administrative tasks.

What are we are looking for?

  • Economic/statistical background and practical experience;
  • Good quantitative skills and sound knowledge of Excel;
  • Good understanding of EU institutions and processes;
  • Interest in business issues;
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Reliability, adaptability and capacity to prioritise;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ideally also French.
