Trainee Insight Executive

We want someone with a real eye for detail and passion for research helping brands succeed and grow. Ideal candidates will have had some significant experience of qualitative and/or quantitative research as part of their degree studies.
The role
Key responsibilities:
  • Providing support to the team on all aspects of the projects;
  • Liaising with fieldwork and DP suppliers, both internally and externally;
  • Checking and analysing data;
  • Helping to generate insight and analysis and preparing presentations;
  • Working with people at all levels within the client organisation and internally;
  • Demonstrating strong project management skills;
  • Participating in workshops internally and with clients.
You will have:
  • Enthusiasm;
  • A passion for learning new things;
  • Some experience of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies;
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work as part of a team;
  • Have a strong focus on quality outputs;
  • Used Excel and PowerPoint to an advanced level;
  • Knowledge of SPSS or other data analysis software would be an advantage.

To further your insight in the full cycle of advertising, you will be exposed to related parts of the business including marketing and production.
Responsibilities
  • Selling classified advertising to clients across the UK
  • Managing high volumes of incoming business
  • Managing existing accounts as well as new business development
  • Writing clear and tailored proposals including BDJ print and online products
  • Upkeep of all ongoing sales activities in CRM and be able to provide clear revenue figures and sales forecast to management on a weekly basis
  • Developing complete market awareness, understand competitor strengths, weaknesses and sales methods and keep track of share of market
  • Attend relevant trade shows
Key relationships
  • Advertising clients, including dentists, dental professionals and the NHS
  • Internal departments, including production, marketing and editorial
Experience, skills and qualifications
Essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Resilient and needs to be comfortable with prospecting and cold calling
  • Excellent phone manner and high level of customer service
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to cope under pressure
  • Good knowledge of general office computer software (including MS Office)
  • Client oriented and pro-active sales approach
  • Bachelor’s degree desirable but not essential
Desirable
  • Previous sales experience a plus, preferably within B2B environment
