USA Fulbright Scholarships for International Students

The Fulbright Programis scholarships in USA for international students who want to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree.  The scholarships can also be awarded for non-degree postgraduate studies.
It is administered by bi-national Fulbright Commissions/Foundations or U.S. Embassies. All Foreign Student Program applications are processed by these offices. 
Host Institutions: The scholarships are for study in USA Universities and Academic Institutions (Course starts AY 2014-2015) 
Study: Fulbright grants are available for a variety of disciplines and fields, including the performing and visual arts, the natural sciences, mathematics, engineering and technology. Fulbright encourages applications from all fields, including interdisciplinary ones.
The Fulbright Program will not fund applicants seeking to enroll in a medical degree program nor does it offer grants to those who wish to conduct clinical medical research or training involving patient care and/or contact but it supports the fields of public health and global health. 
Number of Awards: Approximately 1,800 student grants are awarded to non-U.S. nationals to study in the United States annually. 
Scholarship open for: These scholarships for study in USA are for international students from Africa, East Asia and Pacific, Europe and Eurasia, Middle East and North Africa, The Americas, and South and Central Asia. 
Cover: The Fulbright program provides funding for the duration of the study. The grant also funds tuition, textbooks, airfare, a living stipend, and health insurance.  See the official website for the exact scholarship inclusions. 
Eligibility: Program eligibility and selection procedures vary widely by country. Please see the country specific websites to find information about the Fulbright Program in your home country, including eligibility requirements and application guidelines. 
Application instructions: Outside the U.S., the Fulbright Program is administered by bi-national Fulbright Commissions/Foundations or U.S. Embassies. All Foreign Student Program applications are processed by these offices. Therefore, foreign students must apply for Fulbright Fellowships through the Fulbright Commission/Foundation or U.S. Embassy in their home countries. Program eligibility and selection procedures are determined by each country. Deadline varies per country but is around February to October annually.
