STEM Enterprise Scholarships for Undergraduates in UK, 2013

King’s College London is offering thirty STEM Enterprise Scholarships for Undergraduate Students. Scholarships are provided in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics students starting in 2013-14. The scholarships worth £30,000 each. Every successful applicant will receive a full £9,000 fee waiver plus a £1,000 cash bursary, totaling £10,000 of support for each academic year up to a maximum of 3 years. 
About Scholarship: The College will be offering 30 STEM Enterprise Scholarships worth £30,000 each for new students starting in 2013-14.  The College wishes to support the UK’s knowledge economy agenda by encouraging access to STEM subject (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) undergraduate study through a STEM Enterprise Scholarship.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible to apply for the King’s STEM Enterprise Scholarship, students must:
-be studying a STEM subject (science, technology, engineering and maths*);
-have an assessed household income of £25,000 pa or less;
-be in receipt of the maximum maintenance grant (£3,354);
-be undertaking their first undergraduate degree programme;
-have ‘firmly’ accepted an offer of a place at King’s on an eligible programme;
-not be in receipt of any other financial sponsorship for tuition fees;
-have taken up your maximum entitlement to UK government help with tuition fees and loans/grants for living costs support;
-not be NHS-funded in years 1-3 of their programme;
-you must have given Student Finance England ‘consent’ to share your financial information with the College;
-priority will be given to students from partnership schools and colleges. 
Scholarship Open for: The students of UK/EU can apply 
Notification: Provided your application form has been accurately completed and the appropriate documentary evidence supplied, you will be notified of the decision by the end of August 2013 
Apply: Completed applications form and supporting documentation should be sent to funding@kcl.ac.uk. Please ensure you answer all questions and complete all sections of the form. The questions on the form are designed to establish your financial and academic circumstances as clearly as possible.
-Applications that are emailed will receive an acknowledgement.
-Alternatively, you may print out the form and complete it, then post it to us, together with your supporting documentation.
If supporting documents are not supplied with your form, your application will not be considered.
