2013 Shoda Memorial Asia International Student Scholarship Fund, Japan

Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Tokyo is inviting applications for Shoda Memorial international scholarship for Asian students who are enrolled or will be enrolled in the first year of the master’s course or in the second year of the doctoral course. 
About Scholarship: Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Tokyo is offering scholarships for 2013/2014 academic year. 
Study: The scholarship is provided to study courses offered by the graduate school of agricultural and life sciences.
Course Level: This scholarship is open for those students who are enrolled or will be enrolled in the first year of the master’s course or in the second year of the doctoral course.
Scholarship By: Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, University of Tokyo
Location: Japan
Duration: Scholarship is granted for a period ranging from April 2013 – March 2015 (Two years).
Value: Scholarship amount per month is 70,000 Yen. 
Eligibility: Must satisfy all the following conditions:
-Self-supporting international students from Asian countries who are enrolled or will be enrolled in the first year of the master’s course or in the second year of the doctoral course as of April 2013, and whose major is science related.
-Living in Tokyo.
-With good conduct, high scholastic abilities, in good health.
-Not receiving other scholarships.
-Able to fill out application forms in Japanese. 
Scholarship Open for: The self-supporting international students from Asian countries can apply for the scholarship. 
Apply: To apply, submit Form 3 (Application Form for Scholarships by Private Foundation) directly to the International Student Section, send it by e-mail attachment to ryugaku@ofc.a.u-tokyo.ac.jp, or fax to 03-5841-8168 (Ext.28168). A student nominated by our graduate school will receive information from the International Student Section. They should then submit the following documents by March 27, 2013 (Wed):
(1) Academic record certificate (of the present and previous course enrolled)
(2) Application Form for Scholarships from Private Foundations
(3) Recommendation letter from the supervising professor
Students who have not registered their information are not eligible to apply.
