Description of tasks to be undertaken by the trainee
The selected Trainee will work in the conservation and science team, giving support to work on a range of issues on the protection of wild bird species.The intern’s responsibilities will include
- Gather experts feedback on power lines and birds;
- Collect info on windfarms and birds;
- Work on reports on illegal killing and trade of birds;
- Update inventory Species Recovery plans;
- Support on tracking data and marine IBA table updates compilation;
- Support to Marine task forceProfile of Trainee.
Qualification: Educational Qualifications/Vocational Training
- At least a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in biology or related disciplines with knowledge of environmental issues;
- Knowledge of birds;
- Very good written English;
- High levels of flexibility, dedication and sense of responsibility;
- Well organised and with attention to detail.
Personal and Social Skills
Good team work skills, ability to work independently and take initiatives. Well-developed social skills. Ability to work in an International environment.Language Skills
The intern should be able to communicate and write in English. Additional language skills, eg. Spanish, Russian are a plus.Information Technology (IT) Skills
Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, …), text editing skills.Applications
