Crisis Group is currently seeking an intern to work at its Brussels
headquarters with the Online Editor. The internship would suit
candidates with interests and experience in some combination (and
preferably many) of the following: content management systems, community
management, international relations, conflict studies, journalism. The
intern may also assist the Research Unit with the drafting and
publication of Crisis Group’s monthly CrisisWatch bulletin.

Responsibilities:
- Update web content on website, blogs, and internal intranet;
- Engage professionally with social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube;
- Monitor success of online efforts using google analytics and other tools;
- Monitor developments in online media;
- Help develop new graphics and content for Crisis Group’s website;
- Assist with the preparation and publication of CrisisWatch; and
- Provide general administrative support
- At least an undergraduate degree is required - a degree in multimedia communications, web design, new media, journalism, and/or international relations, politics, conflict studies, with a keen interest in BOTH fields;
- English language skills at native-speaker level;
- Passion for social media and its potential as an advocacy tool;
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems, i.e. Sitecore and Wordpress;
- Good understanding of HTML/CSS;
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, or other similar software;
- Highly organised and able to pay close attention to detail; and
- Possession of an EU passport, student visa, or other means of working in - --- Belgium for six months without work permit sponsorship from Crisis Group.
