INTERNSHIP: POLITICAL SECTION - GEORGIA

The EU Delegation to Georgia, Tbilisi, is seeking applications for internships at the Political
Section.
Summer Internship: approximately 15 May – 31 August 2013 (deadline for applications:
12 April 2013)
Autumn Internship: approximately 1 September – 15 December 2013 (deadline for
applications 1: July 2013)
DESCRIPTION
Position
Intern (unpaid internship, no apartment provided)
Overall Purpose
To assist the Political Section in its daily duties
Functions and Duties
Monitor, analyze and report – regularly and in timely fashion as required by the Head of
Section – on the domestic political situation in Georgia, as well as on any other significant
political developments
Research topics as requested by the Head of Section
Attend and report on seminars and conferences
REQUIREMENTS
Commenced higher education in a field relevant to the tasks described above
Knowledge of the region
Analytical skills
Good drafting skills in English
Ability to prioritize and work effectively under time pressure
Russian language knowledge will be considered an asset
