Full-time Trainee in environmental / Sustainable energy project management

IMI is looking for a full time trainee in environmental and marine energy projects. Depending on the workload, the job would include standard office management tasks (invoicing, mail filing, telephone…), project management tasks such as research, preparing applications for EU funded programs, drafting letters, proposals and reports, developing contacts with new partners and maintaining existing ones etc.
The trainee will be working on several initiatives in the field of renewable energies and nature protection and infrastructure development. The person would also have the opportunity to explore new ideas which could lead to project development.
The work offers the opportunity to meet various stakeholders, such as companies, EU officials, representatives of national and regional governments etc. and to develop a large network of contacts. It might also involve occasional traveling.
MINIMUM Qualifications
  •  Bachelor with experience or Masters Degree;
  •  Nearly native or native English speaker;
  •  Working knowledge in Dutch and French;
  •  Background in Environmental or Renewable Energy Policy;
  •  Self-motivated professional, capable of working independently;
  •  Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills;
  •  Ability to do multitasking and stress resistant;
  •  Familiar with the European Institutions;
  • Flexibility: Occasional travel required /short notice;
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point, publisher, etc).
