Our EU Advocacy Office in Brussels is seeking a EU Media and Communications Intern to help promote policy issues ranging from climate change to income inequality and humanitarian assistance through creative and strategic media and communications work.
S/he will have an educational background in communications/journalism with an interest in international politics and development; or educational background in international politics and development with an interest in communications/journalism. Basic knowledge of EU decision-making politics and processes is expected. Some previous work experience, especially engaging with social media or/and using media to influence public/EU policies is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written command of English is required and good knowledge in other European languages, especially French, is desirable.
This post will offer the intern an opportunity to develop her/his drafting, project management and analytical skills, acquire practical knowledge of EU policy-making and legislative processes and to be part of an international campaign and advocacy setting.
