Trainee in Project Management
Xplanation Language Services NV is a leading provider of professional translation services and complete language solutions with offices in Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and the United States.
We are currently looking for a trainee in project management in our Swiss branch in Zurich for a minimum period of 6 months, ideally starting beginning of August 2013 or according to agreement.
Your profile:

•  You study languages/translation/communication or have completed your studies.
•  Your mother tongue is preferably English, French, German, Italian or Spanish.
•  You have excellent communication skills, in speaking and writing (excellent level of German and English)
•  You have an affinity with IT; you are familiar with Microsoft Office, as well as with the Internet (basic knowledge of CAT tools and project management is a plus).
•  You have high social skills and are service-oriented (experience of contact with clients is an asset)
•  You can work independently as well as in a team
•  You are motivated, eager to learn, cope well with stress and tight deadlines, and are comfortable working in a multilingual environment

Your tasks:

•  You analyse the incoming translation requests and create a quote if requested
•  You allocate the projects to the best translation and DTP partners and follow them up
•  You provide extensive client support
•  You plan customised solutions for specific projects
•  You ensure the communication flow between clients, translation partners, revisers and DTP partners
•  You work closely together with our branches

Our offer:
We offer a varied traineeship in our Project Management Team, located in the heart of Zurich in Switzerland. Our trainees (for a full-time traineeship) receive 500 EUR/month for accommodation for the first 3 months. If trainees do not receive a grant, we offer them 700 EUR/month for the remaining period of the traineeship following a positive evaluation.
