Glass for Europe is the trade association for Europe’s manufacturers
of flat glass. Flat glass is the material that goes into a variety of
end-products and primarily in windows and façades for buildings,
windscreens and windows for automotive and transport as well as glass
covers, connectors and mirrors for solar-energy equipments.
Glass for Europe has four members: AGC Glass Europe, NSG-Group, Saint-Gobain Glass and Sisecam-Trakya Cam and works in association with Guardian. Altogether, these five companies represent 90% of Europe’s flat glass production.

- Monitor and analyse EU policy developments relevant to the flat glass industry;
- Draft the Glass for Europe newsletter and other communication materials;
- Update the Glass for Europe website and develop social media presence;
- Assist in the daily association work of the Public Affairs Officer and Secretary General.
Qualificactions:
Candidates should meet most of the below qualifications:
- Have a relevant academic background in areas such communication, public relations political science or journalism.
- Have a proper understanding of European politics or of the EU decision-making process.
- Possess good drafting and communication skills;
- Be fluent in English written and spoken (other languages welcome)
- Be open-minded, flexible and willing to learn with a “can-do” attitude.
- Ready to join a small international team.
- Internship starts in end-August / September until Christmas.
- This is a remunerated internship therefore a Belgian contract will be signed.
- Challenging experience in a small but dynamic trade association
- Real insight into industry’s approaches to some of Brussels hot policy areas: climate change, energy, industrial policy, etc.
- A practical experience to kick start a career in Brussels.
