Van Oord MBA Scholarship for Developing Countries at IMD in Switzerland, 2014

Van Oord family and IMD is funding one full time MBA scholarship in Switzerland. Students of developing countries are eligible for this MBA scholarship. Preference is given to students who wish to return to their countries after the completion of their graduate MBA program and to those with a technical background and / or experience related to marine engineering. Application should be submitted online and scholarship essay should be send by email till September 30, 2013. 
About Scholarship: Developing countries whose advancement / progress has been strongly influenced by its seaside location, struggle against the water, maritime tradition, river transportation system, etc.

Course Level: Master’s-MBA degree

Eligibility:
-Candidates with financial need who have already applied to the full-time IMD MBA program and who are citizens of the above geographical areas.
-Preference is given to those who wish to return to their countries after graduation and to those with a technical background and / or experience related to marine engineering.

IMD MBA scholarship conditions: Applicants must have been accepted into the IMD MBA program prior to their application. Our scholarship applications are essay based, with winning essays typically including the following features:
-Relevance to the essay title
-Organization and structure
-Fully developed arguments
-Persuasiveness
-Personal element and/or passion
IMD reserves the right not to award a scholarship if the criteria are not met to the satisfaction of the jury / sponsors.

Value: CHF 30,000 
Selection Criteria: 1) Acceptance into the IMD MBA Program 2) Submitting an essay on: “How the seaside location of my country can be better used to contribute to economic growth and sustainability.” (Maximum 750 words).
