Master study Grants
for international students at University of Italian Switzerland are
offered in Economics, Communication Sciences and Informatics. The
Foundation for the Lugano Faculties of USI will award a total of 60
one-off study grants of the amount of 4’000 CHF each. The grant is
awarded in the form of a deduction of the tuition fee and cannot be
exchanged for cash.
About Scholarship: The Foundation for the Lugano Faculties of USI will award a total of 60 one-off study grants of the amount of 4’000 CHF each for the 2013-14 academic year. The merit based grants are given to first year students admitted to a USI Master program starting in September 2013. The grant is awarded in the form of a deduction of the tuition fee and cannot be exchanged for cash. The grant cannot be combined or accumulated with other scholarships provided by USI.

Scholarship by: The Foundation for the Lugano Faculties of USI

Eligibility:
-The applicant must have obtained the Bachelor degree (all examinations taken and thesis defended) by July 31st, 2013 with a cumulative grade point average of at least 80/100.
-Applicants must have been admitted to the first year of a USI Master degree beginning in September 2013. Applications from students enrolled in a USI Master before Sept 1st, 2013 will not be considered.
Scholarship Open for: The students of Switzerland, Italy and any other countries can apply
Number of awards:
-20 grants will be awarded to students that pursued a Bachelor degree at a Swiss University
-20 to students that pursued a Bachelor degree at an Italian University
-20 to students that pursued a Bachelor degree at a University from other countries.
Value: 60 one-off study grants of the amount of 4’000 CHF each will be awarded. The grant is awarded in the form of a deduction of the tuition fee and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Selection Criteria: The scholarships will be awarded on the merit based, grants are given to first year students admitted to a USI Master program. Merit is determined by the results of the academic degree that gives access to the Master program (usually the Bachelor’s).
Notification: The applicants will be informed till August 16th, 2013.
