The School of Computing and digital Media of The School of Computing and digital Media of Robert Gordon University Aberdeen is now offering a number of merit scholarships to outstanding students who wish to study an MSc course at the School from September 2013 or January 2014. Please read through the following information carefully.

To participate in this scholarship program students must enroll in the following subjects:

  • Information Engineering PgCert/PgDip/MSc
  • Information Engineering with Network Management PgCert/PgDip/MSc
  • Software Technology PgCert/PgDip/MSc
  • Software Technology with Network Management PgCert/PgDip/MSc

Benefits:
Part-fee: £1,000-£2,000 per award. Most scholarships will be of this type.

Eligibility
  • You may be an international student or you may be a UK / EU student wishing to study on a full-cost course (a course with a fee of at least £7000 for home/EU students).
  • You need to complete an application form and return it to the School together with supporting documentation.

In addition the selection of the candidates will be based on the following criteria:
  • The School will assess all applications against the following criteria: Previous academic record and your suitability for postgraduate study in School, ie: Class of degree / CGPA / final score of first degree.
  • Relevance of your first degree to the course you are applying for The standing of the previous academic institution attended Any prizes or awards given to you in your first degree Relevant industrial or professional experience.
  • Evidence of workplace experience that is relevant to the course you are applying for.
  • Personal achievements – evidence of personal achievements in your life to date which indicate your ability to contribute to the wider life of the University community during your studies and the professional community that you will be joining on graduation.
  • In the event that 2 applications are scored identically and only one award is available, the panel will award the scholarship to the first application received, using the date of receipt in the University as the relevant date.

The Trask Fund MRes Art Bursaries are sponsored by the University of the Arts London to support postgraduate students on the MRes Art: Moving Image, MRes Art: Exhibition Studies and the MRes Art: Theory & Philosophy courses at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design. Successful applicants will be granted £2,000 each and will be a contribution towards tuition fees for first year students only.

Description

Six bursaries have been established for the three MRes Art courses at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design. The Bursaries are valued at £2,000 each and will be a contribution towards tuition fees for first year students only. The Bursaries will be offered to six students accepted on the MRes Art: Moving Image, MRes Art: Exhibition Studies and the MRes Art: Theory & Philosophy courses at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design. Applications are encouraged from Home/ EU and International students who will benefit from postgraduate studies to realize their full potential and who are unable to finance themselves through their studies.   • An undergraduate student expecting to graduate with a first or 2:1 in a Bachelors Degree (with Honors’) from a Higher Education institution, or an HE accredited Further Education institution by 31st July 2013.
  • A graduate, having already gained a first or 2:1 in a Bachelors Degree from a Higher Education institution, or an HE accredited Further Education institution.
  • For applicants without a bachelor’s degree able to demonstrate substantial equivalent and applicable experience.

2013 MUIS Scholarships in Australia for International Students

Macquarie University
Macquarie University International Scholarships (MUIS) are available across most courses to cover international tuition fees for study in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at the University.
Host Institution: Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia (Next course starts September 2013) 
Field of study: Available across most courses except Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Applied Finance (MAF), Master of Advanced Surgery and Master of Surgery.

The Government of the People’s Republic of China through the Government of Fiji is offering master degree scholarships for developing countries’ students. The scholarship is offered to study master program at East China Normal University [ECNU], Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU), China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) and Community University of China (CUC) in China. 
About Scholarship: The Government of the People’s Republic of China through the Government of Fiji is offering four (4) master’s scholarship awards for the 2013-2014 academic years. 
Study: These Scholarships for Developing Countries are offered for study international master of education in educational leadership and policy at East China Normal University [ECNU], master of public administration in Chinese governance at Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU), master program in international relations at China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) and international master of international communication at Community University of China (CUC). 
Course Level: Master program
Scholarship By: The Government of the People’s Republic of China through the Government of Fiji.
Location: China 
Eligibility: 
-For ECNU: Applicants must be officials at divisional level in education administrative departments, or educational management personnel at middle or high level in schools, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, aged under 45 from developing countries.
-For SYSU: From developing countries, government officials at or above director level, academic institution leaders above director level in colleges or departments or administrators at equivalent level. Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Have a minimum of three years working experience in relevant fields, not more than 45 years old. Native English speakers or non-native English speakers with evidence of fluency in English demonstrated by a minimum TOEFL or IELTS test score; a GRE score is desirable but not required. 
-For CUC: Applicants should be governmental officials at middle or higher career level, researchers or administrators at middle or higher level, staff of academic institutions with requisite experience, or senior managers in media related fields. They should be under 45 years of age and in good health. They should have at least 3 years of relevant working experience. For applicants whose native language is not English, English proficiency should be sufficient to enable graduate level course studies and thesis writing. Please submit TOEFL or IELTS test score if possible.
-For CFAU: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in areas related to politics. Previous work experience in International Relations preferred. For applicants whose native language is not English, evidence of fluency in English must be demonstrated by a minimum of 80 in TOEFL ibt Test or 6.0 in IELTS Test. The age of applicants should be between 20-40.

Mead Scholarships & Fellowships at University of the Arts London, UK

The Mead Scholarships & Fellowships is sponsored by the University of the Arts London that is offered for prestigious undergraduate and graduates to support programmes at UAL. Three scholarship awards of up to £2,500 each are offered to undergraduate students and two fellowship awards of up to £10,000 each are offered to new and recent graduates.

Description
Mead Scholarships and Fellowships aim to help students and recent graduates extend and develop their practice, expertise, interests and knowledge in one of three areas: creative practice, academic or post doctoral research, or social enterprise. They are designed to support recipients in the pursuit of excellence in fields which cannot easily be accommodated in a traditional academic or commercial environment.

Mead Scholars and Fellows would be expected to become 'ambassadors' of the programme. The expectation is to evolve the programme into a highly-respected community of professional peers with excellence of practice and reputation at its core.
