Description
University
of Oslo is inviting applications for PhD research
fellowship in logic and intelligent data. The Faculty
of Mathematics and Natural Sciences has a strategic
ambition of being a leading research faculty. Candidates for these fellowships
will be selected in accordance with this, and expected to be in the upper
segment of their class with respect to academic credentials.
The candidate’s work will be within the space spanned by
applied logic, semantic technologies, data integration, and human-computer
interaction, with applications in the oil & gas sector. The candidate will
be affiliated with the Optique project and the SIRIUS Center for
Scalable Data Access in the Oil & Gas Domain. He or she will be part of an
international team of world-leading scientists working on bringing semantic
methods for data access into real-world industrial applications.
Eligibility
Applicants must fulfills following conditions
for PhD Research Fellowship:
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or
equivalent in informatics;
The purpose of the Fellowship is research
training leading to the successful completion of a PhD degree;
The Fellowship requires admission to the
PhD Programme at the Faculty
of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The application to
the PhD Programme must be submitted to the department no later than
two months after taking up the position (see more).
Fellowship
The position is remunerated by salary of the level 50 –
54, NOK 430,500 – 459,700, (approximately EUR 47,261 –
50,466) depending on qualifications.
