GIRP, the European Association of Pharmaceutical Full-line
Wholesalers, is looking to hire a trainee to support our Event Manager in the
planning, preparation and organisation of various upcoming events. We are
currently accepting applications from highly motivated undergraduate/graduate
candidates seeking a 3-months internship, starting as soon as possible.
Candidates should show practical skills, high motivation for work, flexibility,
a dynamic attitude, and team spirit. Please note that GIRP can only accept
candidates who are enrolled in a university study programme for the entire
duration of the traineeship.
Responsibilities
Organisation and preparation of GIRP events, external
conferences and workshops;
Setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and
priorities on event planning and organizing;
Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure
the smooth running of events;
Support of Event coordinator;
Researching, editing, and writing input for GIRP’s numerous
publications;
Compilation of PowerPoint presentations for internal
meetings and external conferences;
Maintenance of GIRP’s internet presence;
Administrative support and office management.

Must-have qualities
Undergraduate/graduate student, the candidate must be
enrolled at a university for the entire duration of the traineeship;
Candidates must be fluent in English;
Experience in event/conference organisation, communications
and/or project coordination;
Good project skills, organisation, clear communication and
methodical planning;
Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications;
Self-starter, high level of independence and responsibility.
Desirable qualities
Affinity for graphic design;
Aptitude with social networking tools such as Twitter and
Facebook;
Fluency in French, German is desirable, other languages are
an asset.
