MARKETING APPRENTICE FOR E4, CHANNEL 4

The Marketing department consists of three teams (marketing, media planning and on-air continuity) which are together responsible for leading a coherent brand strategy for the organisation’s network of channels and new media services; prioritising, planning and implementing all on- and off-air marketing campaigns.
E4 is an entertainment brand with attitude. With our muse, 16-24s, at its heartland, we strive to engage viewers with our content in our own fun, unique and irreverent style.
JOB PURPOSE
The E4 marketing apprentice will report directly into the E4 marketing manager working on upcoming campaigns and the E4 social media platforms – all with the aim of driving viewers to engage with the E4 brand and its content.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will assist the Marketing Executive, Manager and Group Marketing Manager in the production of both on-air and online campaigns and ideas, and be a vital, safe pair of hands in the smooth running of the department.
Responsibilities will include:
Campaign assistance: Assist in the delivery of on-air trails, online pre-rolls and other marketing assets to promote linear and on-demand programming.
Relationship Building & Co-ordination: Maintaining good relationships with internal departments and external partners to ensure they are aware of and supporting marketing activity. This includes 4Creative, Schedules, Viewer Relationship Management, Media Planning and syndicated platforms (e.g. Sky, Virgin, Netflix).
Social Media Management: Working closely with 4Creative and the Social Media team to coordinate, manage and build E4’s social media presence. This will involve devising fresh ideas and bringing them into fruition on platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Vine, Snapchat and Tumblr.

Flexibility
All members of the marketing team are expected to be able to work flexibly across media and genres, contributing to ad hoc projects or supporting different areas as resources require. These will be discussed individually and based on skills and abilities.
