University of Skövde is pleased to offer UHR and HS scholarships for domestic and international students. Scholarships are available for pursuing masters degree programme.

The University of Skövde offers a number of scholarships to students who are attending an international master’s programme at the University and who are liable for tuition fees.

The University of Skövde is relatively young, but still comparable to the old prestigious universities in terms of quality. In the national quality assessments for 2011 to 2014 it came in seventh place.

Scholarships to students attending a master’s programme at the University who are liable for tuition fees. Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

Scholarship Awards:

UHR Scholarships: The scholarships are tuition fee waivers of 31,250 SEK per semester (50% of the tuition fee), and the amount is automatically deducted from the tuition fee when you receive your invoice.

HS Scholarships: The scholarships consist of tuition fee waivers of 25,000 SEK per semester, and the amount is automatically deducted from the tuition fee.

Scholarship can be taken in Sweden

Eligibility: Scholarships are available to students who are attending a Master’s programme at University and are liable for tuition fees. If they are an existing student, unfortunately, they are not currently eligible to apply for a scholarship. These scholarships are awarded before the commencement of the master’s programme.

Nationality: Domestic and international students can apply for these masters scholarships.

First apply for one of studies at the University via University Admissions. You must apply for one of their master’s programmes at the Swedish official online application service University Admissions.

CFSP Scholarships for Developing Countries of La Francophonie in Canada, 2017

The Government of Canada is offering Canadian Francophonie Scholarship Program (CFSP) which is open to nationals from developing countries of La Francophonie. These scholarships are granted for a university education 2nd cycle (Master) and 3rd cycle (Doctorate) and technical and vocational training.

The Canadian Francophonie Scholarship Program is a scholarship program designed to build institutional capacities by training nationals of 37 countries in the Francophonie member development and recipients of official development assistance from Canada.

The program is entirely funded by the Government of Canada, which has entrusted the management of the program to the consortium Canadian Bureau for International Education / World University Service of Canada since January 1st, 2015.

Applicants for all levels of study must be fluent in the French Language; both written and spoken.

Course Level: Scholarships are granted for a university education 2nd cycle (Master) and 3rd cycle (Doctorate) and technical and vocational training.

Study Subject:

Scholarship Award: As part of the CFSP, scholarships in Canada are granted for a university education 2nd cycle (Master) and 3rd cycle (Doctorate) and technical and vocational training. They are awarded for one academic year, but are renewed annually for a period corresponding to the normal duration of the studies specific to each stock exchange and if the academic results are satisfactory. They are 2, 3 and 4 years at the university level and two years at technical and vocational level. Also, short-term internship scholarships are awarded based on the criteria and standards specific to each area of expertise, for a period not exceeding 12 months. The post-doc fellowships are also eligible and shall not exceed 12 months.

Scholarship can be taken in Canada

Eligibility:

Institutions targeted by recipient countries conduct internal recruitment campaigns to identify qualified candidates who show the greatest aptitude for helping strengthen their institution’s capacities when they return to their country.

Candidates identified and selected may apply for university studies leading to a master’s and doctoral degree, for technical and vocational training, or for short-term internships.

Clinical training in pharmacy, medicine and dentistry is excluded.

Mastery of spoken and written French: as studies need to be done continuously, in French in a francophone institution in Canada, fluency in French is a requirement essential for admission. Nationals of the following countries: Cambodia, Cape Verde, Dominica, Egypt, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Laos, Lebanon, Mauritania, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, St Lucia, Seychelles, Vanuatu and Vietnam must demonstrate the DELF B2 success with a minimum of 15 out of 25 in each of the four components of March 15, 2017: the TFI will also be accepted;

Sufficient knowledge of English to read and synthesize documents in English, in their field of study;

Mastery of basic computer tools: WORD, Excel, and Internet research. A skills test will be administered to verify the level of skills [1] .

The gender equality issues: The CFSP has set a target annual distribution of the number of scholarships for women and men 50%. This distribution is part of the selection criteria of the stock / boursiers.Une both completed studies, institutions of recipient countries ensure the reintegration of women in their post or in a higher position where they are leveraging the knowledge and skills acquired Canada. The CFSP thus promotes an increased presence of women in institutions of beneficiary countries in positions of influence within their institutions.

Lund University’s 350th Jubilee Scholarships for International Students in Sweden, 2017

Applications are invited for Lund University’s 350th Jubilee Scholarships which are open to students from non-EU/EEA countries. These scholarships can be applied to over 100 different Master’s programmes, beginning in autumn 2017, in a variety of subjects at Lund University.

Lund University is one of northern Europe’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious universities, consistently ranking among the world’s top 100 universities.

Students must be able to demonstrate proficiency in English by means of an internationally recognised test, e. g. TOEFL, IELTS or the equivalent.

31 PhD Fellowships for International Students at USPC in France, 2017

Université Sorbonne Paris Cité (USPC) is offering 31 PhD fellowships for international researchers to pursue PhD degree programme across all disciplines in 2017.

These fellowships are co-financed by the European Union through the Horizon 2020 (H2020) Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action, COFUND and by the French Government’s program of future investments.

Université Sorbonne Paris Cité (USPC) is engaged in an ambitious policy for doctoral studies. On the basis of its research programme, USPC aims to train future researcher as well as future high-level executives.

Course Level: Fellowships are available for pursuing PhD degree programme.

Study Subject: All disciplines are eligible for an INSPIRE PhD fellowship. Applicants may download a listing of a partial number of research groups/departments affiliated with the USPC classified according to discipline: Social Sciences and Humanities, Physical Sciences and Engineering and Life Sciences.

Scholarship Award: The three-year PhD fellowships will be awarded through a strictly merit-based selection process. Each Early-Stage Researcher (ESR) will be provided with a three-year work contract for full-time research positions with additional funding for mobility and extra research expenses. The work contract includes health insurance, which is comprehensive and does not discriminate against individuals with pre-existing health conditions.

Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) need to have completed a Master’s degree or an equivalent diploma ideally before the 31st of August 2017, or at the latest by the 30th of September 2017

As defined by the European Commission, as an Early Stage Researcher, the applicant need to have obtained the degree which would formally entitle them to embark on a doctorate in France, no more than four years before the start date of the INSPIRE PhD contract. The start date of the PhD contract will typically commence on the 1st of September, or alternatively on the 1st of October 2017. Therefore Masters degree or another relevant degree should have been obtained no earlier than the 2nd of September 2013, or 2nd of October 2013.

Applicants must not be enrolled in a PhD programme nor have been enrolled in one.

Applicants must not already be in possession of a PhD degree.

Applicants will be asked to sign a declaration of honour attesting to the above.

International criterion

ESRs will need to comply with the conditions of the EU-mobility rule (incoming mobility): applicants must not have had their main residence, or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.), in France for more than 12 months during the three years immediately prior to the deadline for the call (17h on Monday the 9th of January 2017); compulsory national service in the home country, and/or short stays of less than a month, such as holidays in France, are not taken into account.

Stays in the country of past and present residence are also limited by the EU-mobility rule: candidates whose project requires significant time spent abroad are advised to contact the INSPIRE helpdesk inspire-at-uspc.fr as soon as possible.

Nationality: International researchers can apply for these PhD fellowships.

International Research Fellowships in Critical Digital and Social Media Studies

Description

The Research Fellowship Programme is one of the key features of the Westminster Institute for Advanced Studies’ (WIAS) and it attracts and brings together current and future academic leaders. It enables fellows to undertake independent and collaborative research on original topics in a stimulating academic environment in London.

Applications for fellowship research projects in the field of critical social and digital media research for the duration of 3 months are currently being accepted.  Possible start dates are all dates between 9 January and 1 May 2017.

During their stay, fellows undertake, develop, disseminate and present original, independent and critical individual research. Priority will be given to well-defined projects that result in published research outputs and demonstrate benefits for the applicant, her/his university and the University of Westminster’s research interests.
