Dans une logique transpartisane, l’ambition de l’association est de proposer un financement innovant de la transition écologique au sein de l’Union européenne à travers la mise en oeuvre d’un Pacte fiscal et monétaire européen. Le manque de financement est progressivement en train de vider l’Accord de Paris de sa substance. L’association vise à préserver cet accord historique en rassemblant toutes les forces politiques et associatives qui veulent s’engager dans cette bataille pour le climat en Europe.

Après un appel réussi dans Le Monde, Le Soir (Belgique) et Ouest France, l'initiative européenne pour un Pacte Finance Climat a organisé le jeudi 15 mars un grand débat inédit au siège de l’UNESCO à Paris en présence du Ministre d’Etat Nicolas Hulot. Dans cet élan, l’association cherche désormais deux stagiaires pour continuer son action de plaidoyer et de campagne en France et en Europe.

Communications Internship

The communications intern will assist in the development and implementation of plans for the World Water Council’s institutional communications;

S/he will support the communications team on a variety of activities including developing assets to support ongoing programs, drafting content, updating social media and other digital platforms, and supporting the organization of exhibition spaces and events;

Candidate should be undertaking a tertiary degree in institutional communications or PR relations with a focus on sustainable development. Students in international studies, political science, international development, environmental issues, etc. who are communications-savvy can also apply;

Pasteur Institute Doctoral Research Scholarship for French and Foreign Scientists in France, 2017

Each year the Pasteur Institute International Division allocates funding to promote and aid completion of doctoral theses for both French and foreign scientists in institutes of the Pasteur Institute International Network located outside mainland France.

The Pasteur Institute International Division allocates funding (twice yearly) to promote and aid completion of doctoral theses for both French and foreign scientists in institutes of the Pasteur Institute International Network located outside mainland France.

The Pasteur Institute is a private, non-profit foundation. Its mission is to help prevent and treat diseases, mainly those of infectious origin, through research, teaching, and public health initiatives.

Course Level: Scholarship is available to pursue research.

Study Subject: The research topic can be related to any theme developed in laboratories at International Network institutes, such as infectious diseases (infectious pathophysiology, immunology, microbiology, epidemiology, virology, parasitology), and public health activities (diagnosis, surveillance, resistance, etc.).

EURADIONANTES is a media based in Nantes, France, that focuses on European News and Information, in order to make European politics relevant on a local scale and to contribute to the awareness of Europe. The Euradionantes team is composed of several young journalists who come from all over Europe and receive a full training on radio equipement at the radio station in Nantes. They are coached by French professional journalists, who have had years of experience in journalism. Since 2007, more than 200 interns have received a full training in ‘local- european’ radio journalism. Today, they work at the _BBC, Deutsche Welle, RTBF, Reuters, The Telegraph, Radio Sweden, ORF, UTV Ireland, Hit West…_ Interns from 20 different EU countries have already taken part.

Eligibility

High-Level Bilingual (In French) Students in Journalism, Media & Communications, Political Science or European Studies;

Interested in European issues and who would like to get a formative experience in the world of radio and New European Media.

Remuneration

The students get a monthly allowance of about 500 EUR to 550 EUR;

According to their situation, they can complete it with a grant (Erasmus+ for instance);

Description

Sciences Po created the Emile Boutmy scholarship after the founder of Sciences Po (1871) in order to welcome the very best international students from outside of the European Union. The Emile Boutmy Scholarship is awarded to top students whose profiles match the admissions priorities of Sciences Po and individual course requirements.

The Emile Boutmy scholarship may not be supplemented with other scholarship (Eiffel scholarship, AEFE scholarship, BGF). This scholarship is awarded based on factors of excellence and according to the type of profile sought for this programme. Social criteria are also taken into account. This scholarship is not automatically awarded. A request for it must be made in the section designated for the purpose on the application form.

If you do not validate your academic year, your scholarship will be lost. If you have been granted a scholarship and you decide to defer your admission, your scholarship will be lost.

Description

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme was established by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development to enable French higher education establishments to attract top foreign students to enroll in their master’s and Ph.D. courses. It helps to shape the future foreign decision-makers of the private and public sectors, in priority areas of study and encourages applications from emerging countries at master’s level, and from emerging and industrialized countries at Ph.D. level.

Eiffel scholarships are available in three main fields:

Engineering science at master’s level, science in the broadest sense at Ph.D. level (engineering science; exact sciences: mathematics, physics, chemistry and life sciences, nano- and biotechnology, earth sciences, sciences of the universe, environmental sciences, information and communication science, and technology);

Economics and management;

Law and political sciences. 

For Ph.D. level studies,  The Eiffel scholarship is awarded for a maximum of ten months. For scientific and economic disciplines, no language course is provided for and the scholarship duration cannot be divided up. For law students, the ten-month scholarship can, with the consent of the selection committee, be split into two or three stays in France, of three or four months each. These stays must take place over a maximum of three calendar years. Only law students have the option of taking French lessons alongside their studies. This must be clearly requested in the application.

Combination with other scholarships: foreign students who, at the time of application, have already been awarded a French government scholarship under another programme are not eligible, even if the scholarship in question does not include social security cover.

Eiffel PhD scholarships: Establishments may nominate a candidate who was previously awarded an Eiffel scholarship at master’s level for a scholarship at PhD level. Candidates who have already been awarded an Eiffel scholarship once during their PhD cannot be awarded it for a second time. No application will be accepted for any student who applied previously but was rejected, even if the application is submitted by a different establishment or in another field of study.

Eiffel master’s scholarships: no application will be accepted for any student who applied previously but was rejected, even if the application is submitted by a different establishment or in another field of study. Students who have already been awarded an Eiffel scholarship at master’s level are not eligible to re-apply at master’s level.

Language skills: when pre-selecting non-French-speaking candidates, establishments must make sure that their language skills meet the requirements of the relevant course of study.

Nationality: International students (except French students) are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

How to Apply:

French higher education establishments pre-select candidates for the Eiffel Programme from among the foreign students to whom they have offered a place on a course of study.

 The establishments complete and submit applications for these candidates online.1 They must make sure that the applications fulfil the Programme criteria. The total length of the course and any compulsory work placements in France 1 There is a different application form for each branch of the Programme. Page 5 of 6 or abroad must be clearly mentioned in the application. Each establishment can nominate no more than 40 candidates per field of study for a master’s scholarship. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

The establishments must send to Campus France, by 6 January 2017, by recorded post with acknowledgement of receipt, a list of the applications submitted online. This document must bear the establishment’s stamp and the signature of the head of the establishment (university president or principal), or his or her representative.

31 PhD Fellowships for International Students at USPC in France, 2017

Université Sorbonne Paris Cité (USPC) is offering 31 PhD fellowships for international researchers to pursue PhD degree programme across all disciplines in 2017.

These fellowships are co-financed by the European Union through the Horizon 2020 (H2020) Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action, COFUND and by the French Government’s program of future investments.

Université Sorbonne Paris Cité (USPC) is engaged in an ambitious policy for doctoral studies. On the basis of its research programme, USPC aims to train future researcher as well as future high-level executives.

Course Level: Fellowships are available for pursuing PhD degree programme.

Study Subject: All disciplines are eligible for an INSPIRE PhD fellowship. Applicants may download a listing of a partial number of research groups/departments affiliated with the USPC classified according to discipline: Social Sciences and Humanities, Physical Sciences and Engineering and Life Sciences.

Scholarship Award: The three-year PhD fellowships will be awarded through a strictly merit-based selection process. Each Early-Stage Researcher (ESR) will be provided with a three-year work contract for full-time research positions with additional funding for mobility and extra research expenses. The work contract includes health insurance, which is comprehensive and does not discriminate against individuals with pre-existing health conditions.

Academic criterion

Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) need to have completed a Master’s degree or an equivalent diploma ideally before the 31st of August 2017, or at the latest by the 30th of September 2017

As defined by the European Commission, as an Early Stage Researcher, the applicant need to have obtained the degree which would formally entitle them to embark on a doctorate in France, no more than four years before the start date of the INSPIRE PhD contract. The start date of the PhD contract will typically commence on the 1st of September, or alternatively on the 1st of October 2017. Therefore Masters degree or another relevant degree should have been obtained no earlier than the 2nd of September 2013, or 2nd of October 2013.

Applicants must not be enrolled in a PhD programme nor have been enrolled in one.

Applicants must not already be in possession of a PhD degree.

Applicants will be asked to sign a declaration of honour attesting to the above.

International criterion

ESRs will need to comply with the conditions of the EU-mobility rule (incoming mobility): applicants must not have had their main residence, or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.), in France for more than 12 months during the three years immediately prior to the deadline for the call (17h on Monday the 9th of January 2017); compulsory national service in the home country, and/or short stays of less than a month, such as holidays in France, are not taken into account.

Stays in the country of past and present residence are also limited by the EU-mobility rule: candidates whose project requires significant time spent abroad are advised to contact the INSPIRE helpdesk inspire-at-uspc.fr as soon as possible.

Nationality: International researchers can apply for these PhD fellowships.

Internships at Permanent Representation of Ireland to the OECD and UNESCO

Description

The Permanent Representation of Ireland to the OECD and UNESCO, based in Paris, is recruiting two stagiaires for a six-month internship, starting in late September 2016. The internship is a Stage Conventionné and prospective interns must provide evidence of compliance with this.

The main tasks are assisting with report-writing, event management and some administrative duties as well as attending meetings at the OECD and UNESCO. The interns work closely with diplomatic staff in the relevant policy areas. Candidates must be able to demonstrate good knowledge of Ireland, as well as a familiarity with the work of both the OECD and UNESCO. An ability to work comfortably – orally and written – in English and French is a requirement. Language skills will be tested.

Main tasks:
The World Coalition is recruiting an intern for a period of 6 months in Paris Area, France. The Intern will be in charge of:
•    Assisting the Director for the preparation of the international campaigns of the World Coalition and for the update of the Website: www.worldcoalition.org;
•    Participating in the logistics of World Coalition’s meetings and in the day-to-day management of the organisation.

Under the overall supervision of the UNHCR Representative and the direct supervision of the Senior Legal Associate and the Legal Associate, the intern will perform the tasks indicated below. Major duties and responsibilities
