Stockholm School of Economics MBA Scholarship for International Students in Sweden, 2017

Applications are invited for Stockholm School of Economics MBA Scholarship in Sweden for the year 2017. International students are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.

The scholarship is given to a person who is expected to serve as a good ambassador for Sweden, through his/her leadership and responsible business development.

The Stockholm China Economic Research Institute (SCERI) at the Stockholm School of Economics is a prestigious institution which promotes the studies and research of the economy in China.

Course Level: Scholarship is available to pursue Master degree programme.

Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded in the field of Business Administration.

Scholarship Award: This scholarship is based on cooperation between Dagens Industri, utbildning.se and Stockholm School of Economics and covers the full tuition fee of SEK 465.000 + VAT for SSE MBA Executive Format.

Number of Scholarships: 12 to 15 of the applicants are asked to provide a full application, and 5 to 7 finalists are interviewed and presented to the jury, consisting of representatives from Dagens Industri, utbildning.se and Stockholm School of Economics. The jury selects the recipient of the scholarship.

Scholarship can be taken in Sweden

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

The training will start in January 2018 and conducted part-time over 18 months, in parallel with regular work. During the training is an also made study trip abroad. To become scholarship required a degree equivalent to 180 credits, at least five years of relevant work experience, very good English skills and employer supports participation in education. Internship Activities

The intern, under the guidance of the Secretary-General, shall perform the following duties:

Conducts background research on specific topics;

Assists in writing speaking notes for the Secretary-General;

Assists with minute taking, and writing mission reports;

Drafts, sends and archives some of the Secretary-General´s correspondence, including in Dutch language;

Acts as a focal point for media contacts in English and Dutch, including organizing, responding to requests via email and phone calls;

Contributes to the follow-up on contacts established by the Secretary-General;

Actively integrates the inclusion of a gender perspective in all activities.

Expected outcome/learning opportunities

The intern is expected to benefit from the position by gaining insights, experience and knowledge on:

Working processes of an intergovernmental organization;

Political sensitivities of working in the Secretary-General’s office.

The intern will also have the opportunity to develop his/her analytical and researching skills. The objective of the internship is to provide a learning opportunity for an interested and talented student within a relevant study area. The intern is expected to act as part of the team, learning from all team members in their different capacities.

Management and Organization

The intern will be supervised by the Secretary-General and/or any other person designated by him/her. The intern will be provided with a work-station at IDEA.

Timing and Work plan

The internship position will be full-time for three - six months. The intern will work office hours 9-17 if not otherwise agreed with the Supervisor.

Qualifications and required skills

Analytical, drafting and problem solving skills;

Ability to appreciate diversity and work as part of a team in such an environment;

Ability to assess, manage and structure information;

Good interpersonal skills;

Knowledge of Microsoft Office package (including Excel) and Internet;

Knowledge of information management systems.

Language skills: Fluent written and oral English and Dutch required. French, Spanish, or Arabic language skills would be an asset.

The Karlstad University Global Masters Scholarship Programme in Sweden, 2017

The Karlstad University is offering Global Scholarship programme to study masters degree programme. Scholarships are open to students from countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

The Karlstad University Global Scholarship programme is aiming at top academic students from countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who are required to pay tuition fees for studies.

Applications are invited for Lund University Global Scholarship available for the citizens of a country from outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland). Students must have applied for Bachelor’s or Master’s level studies for a minimum of one semester of study (30 ECTS). Students must apply for these scholarships with course application.

As a top 100 university and ranked in the top 0.4% of universities in the world, Lund University attracts high achieving students from across the globe. The Lund University Global Scholarship programme seeks to recognise these students by awarding academic excellence grants.

Scholarship recipients have a proven record of achieving consistently high grades in their previous studies and are assessed as being a good fit for our programmes. The scholarship is selective, competitive and merit-based.

Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s level studies at Lund University.

Study Subject(s): Scholarship is awarded in all subjects available at Lund University.

How to Apply: To apply for a Lund University Global Scholarship, you must first apply for the programme(s) or free-standing course(s) you wish to study at Lund University using the online, national application website, www.universityadmissions.se, during the application period. Once you have made a complete application to a degree programme or free-standing courses of at least 30 ECTS credits and paid the application fee, you will be able to apply for the scholarship. For autumn 2017 studies, the scholarship application period will be in February 2017, after the deadline to apply for studies.

As part of this online application, you need to upload your scholarship ‘motivation letter’ (maximum 600 words). Please note that the scholarship “motivation letter” is different from any statement of purpose you may be required to submit as part of your programme application documents.  Your scholarship personal “motivation letter” should explain why your academic performance and reasons for applying to Lund University make you an appropriate recipient for a Lund University Global Scholarship.

The Orebro University is pleased to offer master scholarships for international students for the academic year 2017-2018. These scholarships cover full or partial tuition fees but do not cover living expenses.

The Orebro University Scholarship programme is aimed at top academic students from countries outside the European Union, European Economic Area and Switzerland, who are required to pay tuition fees for studies starting after June 2011.

Fully-Funded Master Scholarships at Mälardalen University in Sweden, 2017-2018

Mälardalen University is offering fully-funded master scholarships for the academic year 2017-2018. These scholarships are open to international students and cover 100% of the tuition fee of the programme.

The scholarship is aimed at especially qualified students coming from countries outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland and who are required to pay tuition fees.

Mälardalen University (abbreviated MDH) is one of Sweden’s large institutes of higher education. The University has over 14,000 students studying our 52 programmes and 1,000 courses, and almost 900 faculty and staff. MDH is characterised by close partnerships with businesses and the public sector in the region, making their University attractive to students – and students attractive on the labour market.

International master’s programmes are taught in English in Sweden. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English in order to meet the entry requirements.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing masters programme.

UHR Scholarships: The scholarships are tuition fee waivers of 31,250 SEK per semester (50% of the tuition fee), and the amount is automatically deducted from the tuition fee when you receive your invoice.

HS Scholarships: The scholarships consist of tuition fee waivers of 25,000 SEK per semester, and the amount is automatically deducted from the tuition fee.

Scholarship can be taken in Sweden

Eligibility: Scholarships are available to students who are attending a Master’s programme at University and are liable for tuition fees. If they are an existing student, unfortunately, they are not currently eligible to apply for a scholarship. These scholarships are awarded before the commencement of the master’s programme.

Nationality: Domestic and international students can apply for these masters scholarships.

Entrance Requirement: Scholarships to students attending a master’s programme at the University who are liable for tuition fees.

English Language Requirements: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

First apply for one of studies at the University via University Admissions. You must apply for one of their master’s programmes at the Swedish official online application service University Admissions.

Lund University’s 350th Jubilee Scholarships for International Students in Sweden, 2017

Applications are invited for Lund University’s 350th Jubilee Scholarships which are open to students from non-EU/EEA countries. These scholarships can be applied to over 100 different Master’s programmes, beginning in autumn 2017, in a variety of subjects at Lund University.

Lund University is one of northern Europe’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious universities, consistently ranking among the world’s top 100 universities.

Students must be able to demonstrate proficiency in English by means of an internationally recognised test, e. g. TOEFL, IELTS or the equivalent.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing master’s programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded for studying all the subjects offered by the university.

Scholarship Award: Lund University is celebrating 350 years of education and research with €350,000 in scholarships. The scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The scholarship applies to tuition fees at Lund University only and does not include cost of living or relocation.

How to Apply: Submit the competition materials through the competition website before the deadline. In parallell, you also apply to the programme at Lund University following the regular programme application process. If you have made a complete competition entry and are also selected for admission to the programme at Lund University, you will be in the pool of candidates considered for the competition scholarships.

Collects legal data and updates the political finance database;

Carries out research for the development of thematic factsheets and two political finance tools in development;

Supports the PP team in further implementation of the social media communication strategy around money in politics;

Assists with various logistical tasks;

Performs any other duties as requested by the Senior Programme Manager and/or any other person designated by him/her; and

Actively integrates the inclusion of a gender perspective in all activities.
