The Global Off-Grid Lighting Association (GOGLA) is
a neutral, independent, not-for-profit association created to promote lighting
and electrification solutions that benefit society and businesses in developing
and emerging markets. GOGLA acts as the industry advocate and supports the
industry in growing and strengthening the market for clean, quality off-grid
lighting and electrical systems. Its main objective is to support industry in
scaling the sector based on principles of the triple bottom line, thus
contributing to the objectives of Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) and the

GOGLA is seeking a motivated intern holding at least a
Bachelor degree related to international development and communication to
support the GOGLA Office. The Office serves the role of facilitator,
coordinator, representative and fundraiser of the association.
You will work in an international and dynamic environment.
The tasks will include supporting the organization of the 4th international
off-grid lighting conference and exhibition, taking place October 26-29 in
Dubai. The event will attract more than 600 delegates and around 80 exhibitors
from all around the world. In addition you will support the work of the GOGLA
office in implementing its social media communications strategy, delivering a
dedicated PR campaign, in developing publications and print media, and the
daily administration of the association.
Candidates for the internship should be available for a
minimum 6 months. Understanding, experience and interest in international
conference management and strong organizational as well as communication skills
are prerequisites. Solid knowledge of website content management, hoot suite,
Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and MS office are required. A high proficiency of
spoken and written English is essential. Knowledge of other languages is
considered an asset. We are seeking a candidate that is pro-active and has
strong social skills.
The internship is remunerated.
