An insight into how an international organization operates;
A framework to enhance their educational experience through
practical work assignments, thereby developing skills which are useful for
their career and future employment;
Experience of working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary
and multi-ethnic environment, contributing to the development of mutual understanding,
trust and tolerance.
At the same time INTERPOL also benefits from the

to give a fresh point of view and up-to-date academic knowledge;
Support for the completion of specific projects.
All applicants must:

languages regularly used in the duty station where the Internship will take
place (French, Spanish or Arabic) will be considered an advantage.
Where would the internship be based?
The majority of INTERPOL’s internship opportunities are
based in the General Secretariat in Lyon, France. Other opportunities may arise
in any of the other duty stations where the Organization has a presence:
the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation in Singapore as well as the Regional
Bureaus and Liaison Offices.
Applicants are welcome to indicate their preferred area of
activity in their application, taking into account the duty station(s) where
they normally take place. Internships may be offered in any of the
above-mentioned locations, depending on the needs of the Organization and
candidates’ profiles.
To facilitate placement, applicants should indicate three
areas of activity within the Organization in order of preference.

Read more about the specialized crime
areas for which you wish to be considered. Please note that interns
will not be assigned to operational units within the Organization, in
particular the Command and Coordination Centre.
Candidates may be considered for other areas matching their
educational background and interests, even if they did not indicate them in the
application.
The length of an internship varies from a minimum of six to
a maximum of 11 months. Please note that the duration of an internship is
directly related to the needs of the hiring service.
Interns are entitled to receive a monthly allowance of 550
euros (the amount set for internships based in Lyon). The allowance will be
adjusted to the different duty stations according to the UN cost of living
index and it will be prorated according to the number of days worked if an
internship does not start at the beginning of a given month.
Please note that, if selected, you will be required to
produce a certificate of non-criminal records (including spent and unspent
sentences pronounced by justice) from your country of nationality and from any
other country in which you have resided for more than 12 months in the
past five years. If you are considered at a further stage of the selection
process (interview) we advise you to familiarize yourself with the procedure
for requesting such documentation in the concerned countries so that, if
accepted, your arrival to the Organization is not unnecessarily delayed.
The intern is responsible for finding his/her own
accommodation;
The intern is responsible for bearing all travel and
insurance costs;
INTERPOL does not reimburse any expenses related to the
recruitment and selection processes;
Internship certificates/supporting documents will be
provided at the end of the internship.
INTERPOL does not sign any Internship Agreement (Convention
de Stage) other than its own. If your University requests a specific form, you
should raise this issue and reach an agreement with your academic institution
prior to the beginning of the internship.
If you wish to apply, please complete the online application form.
Please understand that, due to the large number of
applications received, we are unable to answer individual queries.Only
successful candidates will be contacted.
