CECRA is offering a six month paid internship with a
possibility for a longer term contract.
About CECRA
The European Council for Motor Trades and Repairs – CECRA –
is the European federation bringing together 24 national professional
associations, which represent the interests of motor trade and repair
businesses, and 12 European Dealer Councils on behalf of vehicle dealers for
specific makes.
The main aim of CECRA is to promote the interests of its
members and above all maintain a favourable European regulatory framework for
the 380,000 enterprises of motor trade and repair businesses it represents
through national associations and European Dealer Councils.
Internship description :
We are offering the opportunity to recent graduates, with a
strong interest in automotive policy issues – also at technical level- and an
adaptable approach, to get first-hand experience of all aspects of the
Association's activities in Brussels.
The nature of the work performed will be dependent on the
current CECRA working programme and resource needs. The intern will be helped
with colleagues and working conditions.
Tasks
Provide support in editing and producing news/information
for internal use (newsletters, website, communication with the members) as well
as for external use (press release, position papers, etc.), undertake research,
monitor relevant websites and collect background documents
Assist in the monitoring and reporting of EU policy and
regulatory developments of interest for the sector (also at technical level)
Once familiar with the various issues dealt with, assist
drafting position papers
Assist with the organisation of events
Attend meetings of CECRA’s Divisions or WGs and assist in
making a) minutes & b) list of actions & decisions taken
Provide logistical support for meetings, briefings and
presentations
Perform administrative tasks.
Profile
A university degree with relevant knowledge in European
affairs, Political Science, Economics, Law or Communication.
A strong interest and/or previous experience within the
field of EU Automotive Policy, with a particular affinity towards the dealers
and repairers matters.
A prior experience in an EU institution would be a plus.
Proven computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Highly motivated candidate with an entrepreneurial mind-set.
The ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.
Ability to prioritise work, deal with a variety of topics
with strict deadlines and progressively work independently.
Strong inter-personal skills.
Excellent writing and speaking skills in English, and a very
good understanding of at least one other major European language, in particular
German or French. Any additional language is an asset.
