About the role:
The Climate Group is seeking a highly motivated Junior Project Manager and interns to assist the Program team with research, events and project management support for its AgileCities.org, ISEP and related Smart City and low carbon innovation market development programs.
Reporting to the Head of Smart Technology, you’ll be working closely with the program and communications teams in London and with our offices around the world to provide research support, help project manage programs, develop communications and help organise national and international events.
The role presents a fantastic opportunity for current masters students or recent post-graduates interested in gaining project management, research or programmes experience in the area of smart or sustainable cities, climate change, low carbon innovation or sustainable ICT.
The content of the role will depend on the requisite work being undertaken within programs at the time but would likely include:
A motivated, self-starter who is able to interact confidently with a range of staff and manage your own workload. You will have, or will soon be graduating with a masters, PhD or MBA and will have strong research, writing, time management and interpersonal skills demonstrated in previous voluntary roles, placements or employment. You will have an interest in and understanding of one or more of the following areas: Smart or sustainable cities and regions, low carbon innovation and market development, green growth, or sustainable ICT.
Positions are available for both interns and Junior Project Managers.

- Conducting baseline research to support programmes
- Writing briefings, reports or blogs to communicate program findings
- Liaising with external program partners and stakeholders ranging from corporates and city managers to multi-lateral institutions and research institutes.
- Supporting senior program managers in project management and administration
- Supporting the TCG communications team in delivering program-related events
