Description

Gini Foundation is awarding grants for foreign students for a period of at least six months. Grants are assigned to study and/or specialization at departments of the University of Padova in the scientific fields of Agriculture, Engineering or Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences.

The aim of the Gini Foundation grants is to enable and encourage academically able foreign students.

Eligibility

Applicants must have a Master of Science degree from a foreign University;

The grants are assigned to support, for a period of not more than one year, those who plan to pursue a period of study and/or specialization at Departments of the University of Padova in the scientific fields of Agriculture, Engineering or Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences for a period of at least six months;

Foreign nationals who may apply for the grants must be less than 35 years old at the closing date for the call and hold a Master of Science degree from a foreign University in subjects pertaining to the scientific fields of Agriculture, Engineering or Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences.

Grant

The amount of each grant will not be more than Euro 11,000.00 gross, including travel costs. The amount of the grant is divided into 3 installments. The final installment, equal to 10% of the total amount of the grant, will be paid only after the presentation of a written evaluation by the supervising professor at the University of Padova and a report of the activities carried out, which must be accompanied by a declaration of attendance by the hosting Department.

The HEART research program aims for a personalized approach to mobile health coaching programs that involve the user and that are tailored to individual needs (putting the user at the HEART of the system).

Language skills and proficiency: Candidates shall submit a certificate showing their knowledge and proficiency in the Italian language, starting from the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) The knowledge of the Italian language is not required for enrolling in the university courses fully provided in English. Only for the courses of Italian language and culture shall candidates submit a certificate showing their knowledge and proficiency in the Italian language, starting from the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

Nationality: Foreign citizens and Italian citizens resident abroad (IRE) can apply for these Italian Government Scholarships.

Description

The University of Padova, one of the most ancient universities in the world, has a long tradition in the promotion of excellence of its students, regardless their nationality, gender, beliefs, or interests. Accordingly, every year the University of Padova promotes a program of excellence, the Galilean School of Higher Education. The school is named in honor of Galileo Galilei, the founder of modern Physics and Astronomy, who came to Padova in 1592, when he was 28 years old; the college where the School is hosted, Collegio Morgagni, takes its name from Giovanni Battista Morgagni, one of the founders of modern Medicine, who came to Padova in 1711, when he was 29 years old. Please, pay particular attention to the application deadlines, as they are 26 April 2017 for most English-taught Second Cycle Degrees. Be aware, that you cannot enroll to the Galilean School if you are not admitted and enrolled to a Second Cycle Degree at the University of Padova. 

Scholarship

The School will reimburse one round trip ticket from/to the country of origin (economy class) up to 1.500,00 Euros for each Academic Year, and cover the cost of books and miscellaneous documented expenses of educational nature, authorized and within reasonable limits. 

The School will provide free room and board in the University student houses and canteens.

The School reserves the right to assign a grant up to 5.000,00 Euros to the admitted students, as a contribution towards personal living expenses; this grant is subjected to the economic availability of the School and to the evaluation by a specific committee; no other scholarships will be compatible with this grant.

40 Scholarships for International Students at University of Messina in Italy, 2017-2018

The University of Messina (UniME) is offering 40 scholarships for international students. These scholarships are available for students enrolling to a UniME two-year long Master degree programme (Laurea Magistrale) for the academic year 2017/2018.

For the purposes of the Call, international students are those students holding a degree awarded by a foreign University (not Italian) whilst with the term “enrollment” it is considered the registration to the first year of a Master degree course (Laurea Magistrale).

The University of Messina is a public university located in Messina, Italy. Founded in 1548 by Ignatius of Loyola, it became the model for hundreds of Jesuit colleges. The university is organized in 11 Faculties.

All international applicants for whom English is not the native tongue must provide proof of competence in the English language.

Paid Internship at World Food Programme in Rome, Italy

The World Food Programme is the world’s largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are currently seeking to fill an internship position under the WFP Global Logistics Cluster (GLC) of the Supply Chain Division . The position will be based at our Headquarters in Rome, Italy. The Internship will be for an initial period of 6 months starting from April 2017 .

The selected candidate will be assisting the WFP Global Logistics Cluster (GLC) with the following key duties:

Assist in the collection and analysis and dissemination of logistics information received from field operations, in close coordination with Information Management personnel in the GLC;

Assist with the preparation of documents and IM products and provide research and editing;

Assist in maintaining internal and external information sharing mechanisms and systems; documentation formats, assessment formats, central file store, operations archive, reporting systems;

Assist in publication of information and documents on the Logistics Cluster Website and social media.

Ensure that accurate, consistent information concerning all Global Logistics Cluster operations is entered into current standardized templates and posted on the Logistics Cluster website;

Assist with presentation material and briefing packs preparation;

Field support:
