The UNICEF Internship Programme offers eligible/qualified
students at both Headquarters and country offices the opportunity to acquire
direct practical experience in UNICEF’s work under the direct supervision of
experienced UNICEF staff. This internship is for the purpose of acquiring
organizational knowledge of programmes and processes to supplement academic and
theoretical knowledge.
Under the guidance of the Senior Innovation Advisor, this
intern provides technical, operational and administrative assistance to the
Future of Money portfolio through the application of theoretical and technical
skills in collecting, analyzing and presenting program information as well as
supporting the ongoing development of materials and events for programme and
partnership activities for the Office of Innovation related to the Future of
Money strand of work, as well as related tasks as determined by the supervisor.
For the internship to be worthwhile and effective, the
duration is usually between six (6) and sixteen (16) weeks.

Internships at UNICEF are typically non-remunerative. All
successful applicants are expected to make their own arrangements for travel,
lodging and living expenses during the internship period. There are a number of

Eligibilities
Currently enrolled in a graduate (Master’s) degree in the
area of international development, business administration, technology or
relates field
Completed at least one year of full-time studies of the
graduate degree;
Excellent academic performance, as demonstrated by academic
records.
Demonstrated interest in innovation and technology for
development
Some prior knowledge or experience with UNICEF’s mission
desired
