Paid Internship – EU Aarhus Centre

ClientEarth founded the EU Aarhus Centre in Brussels. The Centre’s activities aiming at ensuring the compliance of the EU and its institutions with the Aarhus Convention are structured around four main streams: (1) ensuring a transparency framework through progressive EU legislations integrating Aarhus principles; (2) pursuing legal and institutional advocacy to change institutions behaviour and practice towards Aarhus rights; (3) assisting civil society organizations and individual citizens with their requests for documents, participation in decision making and access to EU Courts and (4) organizing events, trainings and disseminating information about Aarhus rights to stakeholders.
The internship is focused primarily in supporting the work undertaken across the EU by our EU Aarhus Centre team. The intern will be an integral member of the team and will conduct legal and policy research, will assist with communications, funding applications and reporting.
More broadly, you will join our staff in regular learning and development events, and be given full support in developing the skills needed to thrive in a professional environment. You will have the opportunity to tailor your drafting skills for a variety of audiences, and receive regular and constructive feedback/guidance on your work.
