Political Communications Intern - Energy Sector

The Smart Energy Demand Coalition, is recruiting a Political Communications Intern to work in its office in Brussels for a period of 6 months, starting in February/March.
The SEDC is the voice of the innovative companies that are dedicated to making the demand side a smart and interactive part of the energy value chain. The SEDC brings together the different parts of the energy value chain to speak with a single voice for the smart energy community. Our membership includes innovative DSOs, suppliers, energy service providers, technology providers, consultancies, NGOs, think tanks & universities.
You will be part of a dynamic international team in a continuously evolving environment at the heart of the EU area. As Political Communication Intern, you will be integrated to the daily activities of our representation office. Your role will be to support the SEDC’s various communications activities, Task Forces and events.
Main tasks:
Support to Communications activities: drafting, proofreading, editing of external communications tools (publications, mailings, newsletter articles, press releases, etc.)
Social media and website management (updates, referencing, etc.)
Support to internal SEDC working groups (Task Forces and Committee)
Support to events organisation and logistics
Profile:
Student status
Excellent English (native speaker level preferred), other European languages are an asset
Degree in communications, EU affairs, marketing or equivalent
Strong written and oral communication skills
Knowledge and interest in energy policy and technology  
IT skills and ideally first experience with website content management
Strong organisational skills, flexibility, responsibility
Attention to details
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Conditions:
A monthly reimbursement (750EUR) for expenses on a standard basis is planned.
A signed Convention de Stage (a tripartite agreement signed by the SEDC, the intern and his/her university or college) is required. Prospective interns must fulfil this requirement to apply.
