The European Citizen Action Service is recruiting a
Communications and Event’s Assistant to join its team for one year.
Job description:
The selected candidate will assist in:
the edition and dissemination of ECAS’ bimonthly Newsletter
the promotion of ECAS’ presence in the social media
(Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) and in European and international newspapers
the regular update of the news’ section on ECAS’ website
the organisation of events
expanding ECAS’ partnerships and alliances with
organisations
the promotion of ECAS’ publications and services (i.e.
Membership package, Funding Guide, training academy, etc.)
proofreading and editing tasks upon request
other outreach-related activities as appropriate
Candidate’s profile:
The candidate should:
Preferably have a Degree in Journalism, Communication,
Marketing or in a related field (or have some practical experience in either of
these fields)
Be familiar with EU institutions and decision-making
processes
Embrace ECAS’ values and have a keen interest in its mission
and goals
Be a team player with social skills, a pro-active attitude
and creative thinking
Native-level command of English is a must to apply for this
position
Previous experience with advocacy and/or communication and
experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and digital marketing will be
considered an asset
Description of the organisation:
The European Citizen Action Service (ECAS) is an
international Brussels-based non-profit organization with a pan-European
membership and 25 years of experience. ECAS empowers citizens to exercise their
rights and promotes an open and inclusive decision-making process at the EU
level through the provision of high quality advice, research and advocacy, as well
as capacity building to civil society organisations.
What we offer:

the candidate:
Contract: Convention d'immersion professionnelle; full
details will be discussed at the interview stage
A monthly net remuneration of EUR 751
Working hours: 9am until 5.30pm with a 1-hour break from
Monday until Friday
The candidate will report to ECAS’ Membership and Outreach
Manager, who is responsible for the overall coordination of ECAS’ communication
and advocacy strategy.
