German-Speaking Trainee Lawyer/Referendar/Intern

Our busy Brussels office seeks a German native speaking Trainee Lawyer/Referendar/Intern with either Swiss, German or Austrian background, preferably combined with a EU law background to support its Financial Services and Trade Groups.

You should be able to express yourself clearly and concisely in German and English (both written and orally). Fluency in other languages would be an advantage.

The successful candidate should be available for four months or longer. They will be a good team-player who can also work independently when required. On the job training and mentoring is provided to all our young lawyers. In addition to client projects, our lawyers are expected to participate in marketing and business development initiatives.

Compensation will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience. Please provide:

a current CV (including names of 2 referees who can be contacted);

copies of certificates for each educational or vocational qualification (including grades achieved); and 

two recent writing samples of your own work – German and English.
