2018 PhD Scholarship in Strategic Management at CBS, Denmark

The Copenhagen Business School is offering PhD Scholarship in Strategic Management. To be considered, the candidate should have a basic training at the Masters level (similar to the 3 + 2 Bologna process).
Copenhagen Business School often abbreviated and referred to as CBS, is a public university situated in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.
The candidate should have a very good command of English language. Therefore, the application should be written in English.
Scholarship Description:

Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing PhD programme.
Study Subject: This scholarship can be for a project in any area of strategic management, but some topics of particular interest include: Data-driven business models and growth; Network strategy; Strategic contracting and Strategic human capital.
Scholarship Award: A PhD scholarship runs for a period of 3 years. The scholarship includes a fully salaried position, according to the national Danish collective agreement. The scholarship includes the tuition fees, office space, travel grants plus a salary, currently starting with per month app. DKK 23,770 (approx. 3,160 euro) up to DKK 28,964 (approx. 3,860 euro) depending on seniority, plus a pension contribution totaling 17,1 % of 85 per cent of the base salary. The salary level and appointment is determined by the Ministry of Finance’s collective agreement with the Central Academic Organization.

Eligibility for the Scholarship:
Eligible Countries: Citizens of all nationalities are eligible to apply.
Entrance Requirements: To be considered, the candidate should have a basic training at the Masters level (similar to the 3 + 2 Bologna process). This requirement includes the minimum grade of a weighted grade point average of at least 8.2 on the Danish 7-point grading scale or 9 on the 13-point scale for the entire program (i.e. for both the Bachelor’s and Master’s studies), and at least the grade of 10 for any final thesis or examination project. The applicants must be fluent in English.
English Language Requirements: The candidate should have a very good command of English language. Therefore, the application should be written in English.

A project description (5 pages): This research proposal should contain a presentation of an original research question, a description of the initial theoretical framework and methodology, a presentation of the suggested empirical material as well as a work-plan.
Copies of a Master’s degree certificate or other certificates of a corresponding level.

A list of papers and publications.
One copy of a selected written work (e.g. Master’s thesis).
Documentation for English language skills if English is not mother tongue.

The intern will assist the Learning Mobility Department on the following:
effective communication of Paragon Europe to prospective project partners – audience development, negotiation, upselling;
contact with partners in Brussels and across Europe via email, phone, meetings;
administrative support (drafting of quotations etc.);
attending events related to international mobility projects;
research on international mobility programmes such as Erasmus+, PON/POR, Youth Guarantee etc.;
gathering, compiling, and sorting of data to determine target markets;
internal and external communication on behalf of the office;

The ideal candidate will have:
academic background in one of the following courses or related areas: Marketing, Communications, International Business/Relations, EU Affairs;

F4E´s traineeships programme aims to promote awareness, knowledge and understanding of F4E's role in the ITER project and within the European context, as well as to provide training to university graduates – in the field of nuclear engineering, physics, administration and communication.
The traineeship is paid and lasts from four to nine months with F4E in any of the three sites: Barcelona (Spain), Cadarache (France), or Garching (Germany), with an intake in October .

What's the work like?

Trainees can work in all Departments of F4E. The content of the job largely depends on the area you are assigned to. You may work in the field of plasma physics, nuclear engineering, law, human resources etc. Your daily work will mainly consist of preparation of reports, calculations, design and analytical tasks, compilation of statistical data, execution of operational tasks, and participation in ad hoc studies, among other tasks.

F4E is made up of people with different professional backgrounds working for one mission. The types of profiles that we are looking for are:
Engineers and Physicists (specialised in nuclear engineering, metrology, diagnostics, computer science, magnets, remote handling etc.)

Le Pacte Finance Climat est une initiative lancée par Jean Jouzel et Pierre Larrouturou le 7 décembre dernier et soutenue par plus de 150 personnalités européennes dont Daniel Cohn-Bendit, Jean-Marc Ayrault, Jean-Pierre Raffarin ou encore Enrico Letta. Dans une logique transpartisane, l’ambition de l’association est de proposer un financement innovant de la transition écologique au sein de l’Union européenne à travers la mise en oeuvre d’un Pacte fiscal et monétaire européen. Le manque de financement est progressivement en train de vider l’Accord de Paris de sa substance. L’association vise à préserver cet accord historique en rassemblant toutes les forces politiques et associatives qui veulent s’engager dans cette bataille pour le climat en Europe.
Après un appel réussi dans Le Monde, Le Soir (Belgique) et Ouest France, l'initiative européenne pour un Pacte Finance Climat a organisé le jeudi 15 mars un grand débat inédit au siège de l’UNESCO à Paris en présence du Ministre d’Etat Nicolas Hulot. Dans cet élan, l’association cherche désormais deux stagiaires pour continuer son action de plaidoyer et de campagne en France et en Europe.

Fully Funded SIWI Journalist Grant for Media Professionals in Sweden, 2018

The new SIWI Journalist Grant is currently accepting applications from five journalists from low or low-middle income nations to study in Sweden. This is the opportunity to visit World Water Week which takes place in Stockholm between 26 – 31 August 2018.
The SIWI Journalist Grant aims to build capacity in water and water-related issues among journalists active in developing countries, thereby creating the potential for raised awareness among large audiences of readers, listeners and viewers. In the long term, a raised level of water known in the journalist corps will contribute to influencing key decision- and policy makers in water and development issues.
SIWI is a water institute. We leverage knowledge and our convening power to strengthen water governance for a just, prosperous, and sustainable future. The idea that became SIWI stems from three linked events in Stockholm in 1991.
Scholarship Description:
