European Retail Intern, Consumer Products
Job Summary:
Working within the International Consumer Products
department, this role reports to the Senior European Retail Manager. This role
will consist of administrative and commercial management and be working to
support the team with key European Retail accounts as well as building
relationships with local territory retail teams. The successful candidate
should have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the European Retail Team with the day-to-day
management of key Pan European Retail accounts (Toys R Us, Amazon, Claire’s
Accessories, C&A, Aldi, Lidl, Deichmann, H&M, Carrefour)
Support the Direct to Retail team by sending out monthly
newsletters both internally and externally
Develop relationships with local territory retail teams to
ensure regular updates on local retail plans and activities
Maintain central EMEA retail documents including roll out
grids, best practice documents, licensee lists and competitive retail analysis
Create visual reports highlighting market activity for
sharing across International teams
Build relationships with local licensees to help facilitate
promotions and product giveaways
Visit key retailers to carry out retailer comp shops and use
notes and pictures taken to put together a report based on the insights
Creative ideation of promotional and marketing campaigns
which can be used at retail
Brief creative team to create assets for marketing and
retail promotions
Role Specific Skills / Attributes:
Experience within sales & marketing and/or brand
management
Excellent understanding and use of PowerPoint, Excel and
Outlook
Demonstrated knowledge of UK and European retailers
Good attention to detail
Ability to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced
environment
Ability to build and develop relationships with colleagues
and external clients
Good team player with the ability to work autonomously
Keen desire to build effective and creative marketing
campaigns
Desirable skills:
Macroeconomic understanding of the UK, France, Germany,
Spain and Italy
A second European language
