Europol Portfolio & Project Management Support Internship in Netherlands, 2018

Europol is currently accepting applications for Portfolio & Project Management Support Internship to study in the Netherlands. The aims of Europol’s internship projects are to provide interns with unique and first-hand practical experience and knowledge of Europol’s workings, objectives, services and goals in particular and of the European Union institutions in general. This is an paid internship programme available to international students.

Eligibility: The aims of Europol’s internship projects are to:
Provide interns with unique and first-hand practical experience and knowledge of Europol’s workings, objectives, services and goals in particular and of the European Union institutions in general;
Provide interns with the opportunity to work in a multicultural and multilinguistic environment, thus contributing to the development of mutual understanding and trust;
promote European integration;
provide interns with the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge they have acquired during their studies and training;
Introduce interns to the professional world and its constraints, duties and opportunities.
Through its official internship scheme, Europol:
benefits from the input of enthusiastic interns, who can offer staff a fresh perspective and up-to-date academic and educational knowledge;
creates a pool of former interns who will be better prepared to collaborate and cooperate with Europol in the future;
Creates long-term “goodwill ambassadors” for European ideas and values both within and outside the EU.
Internship Open for International Students: International students are eligible to apply for this internship programme.
Is this paid internship? Yes, Interns are awarded a monthly maintenance grant, EUR 793 for 2018 and may be entitled to the costs of travelling to and from The Hague at the beginning and end of the internship.
Internship Description: This internship project focuses on Portfolio & Project Management Support for ICT projects such as implementation of ICT solutions as well as the renewal and upgrade of internal network infrastructure. Typical activities within this internship project will include project planning, communication, risk and issue management, stakeholder management, resource management and reporting.
Number of awards offered: Every year Europol offers a number of internships that provide individuals with the opportunity to learn more about our activities and put their learning and skills into practice by contributing to our mission.
Internship Duration: Internships last three or six months (40 hours a week), depending on the needs of each internship project.
