Overview and Mission
The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is an alliance
of over 230 national diabetes associations with two million members in more
than 170 countries and territories. It is committed to raising the global
awareness of diabetes, building the evidence of the impact of diabetes, and
providing tools for people with diabetes and health professionals.
The IDF Intern Program gives undergraduate students the
opportunity to obtain training and exposure to IDF’s work in the field of
diabetes and non-communicable diseases. All intern posts are based at the
Federation’s Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
IDF is looking for 3 interns for the Policy &
Programs, Communications and Advocacy departments. You will

Applicants must:
Be graduate or undergraduate students who require an
internship for their course or a first internship experience;
Have EU nationality and/or right to work in Belgium without
a work permit;
Have excellent verbal and written skills in English (other
languages are an asset);
Have fast word-processing skills and good command of
Microsoft Office;
Be proactive, flexible and a good communicator;
Have excellent organizational and team working skills.
