Internship for the Project Management Unit

MWH International Development, based in La Hulpe, is the MWH unit that provides consulting services to international institutions, such as the European Commission (EC), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and EU bilateral donors in Europe, Africa and other developing countries.
Your role
You will be supporting the team in all administrative tasks related to the management of EC contracts. You will be required to demonstrate a combination of discipline, flexibility, and precision in all tasks.
What you will be doing
Support the team in logistical and administrative aspects of the projects;
Check and process invoices and related timesheets and receipts;
Manage the logistics of meetings, conferences, trainings, and other project-related events;
Identify experts, evaluate CVs and prepare contracts accordingly;
Attend project meetings if needed and prepare minutes;
Liaise with the client, experts and partners on day-to-day implementation of project activities;
Perform other duties as determined by the Project Manager.
Qualification and skills
Academic background: relevant university degree or equivalent;
Experience in the management and administration of international projects would be considered as an advantage;
Knowledge of EU contracting procedures and rules (PRAG) would be considered as an advantage;
IT-skills: advanced use of MS Office, in particular Excel;
Rigorous, accuracy and attention to detail;
Creative, communicative, open-minded and results-oriented;
Languages: solid written and spoken French and English;
Work ethics, dynamism and ability to cope with multiple tasks.
The internship will take place in our office in La Hulpe, Belgium and will start ASAP for a period of six months. Compensation will be provided.
