Description
The
EUREKA Chair is now seeking a person to manage the EUREKA Secretariat
and to develop the services to support the Chair and the network at operational
level. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the
efficiency of the Secretariat, including the IT services, keeping costs and
bureaucracy to the minimum and motivating a high quality staff.
This is an entry level position with a contract
for 6 months and would be an ideal first step for a career in public
administration, international collaboration programs and innovation funding.
Reporting to the Call coordinator and working within a team
of 4 people, you will give support for the day-to-day operations within the
Eurostars Joint Program.
Eligibility
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM (science,
technology, engineering or mathematical) subject;
English is the working language of EUREKA. Candidates
must demonstrate a high standard of English in both verbal and written form;
A diplomatic and persuasive manner;
A passion for innovation, a curious and open-mind;
An ability to listen to, understand and communicate detailed
and complex subjects;
A proactive mindset, willing to take the initiative;
A pragmatic approach to problem solving;
An ability to plan for the long-term while being able to
meet short deadlines;
Exceptional organization skills and an ability to multitask;
A work permit (if needed);
One of the 41 EUREKA nationalities;
Familiarity with concepts such as peer review, ethics, or
database management may be considered an asset;
A second European language may be considered an asset.
Remuneration
This internship offers a 6 month term contract from
the agreement date of ‘Bruxelles Formation’. The internship position attracts a gross
monthly salary of EUR 751, subject to Belgian taxation. Fringe benefits
such as meal vouchers will be granted.
