2016 Fall/Winter Internship Program

The Hague Institute for Global Justice is currently recruiting four interns for its 2016 Fall/Winter Internship Program.
Duties and Responsibilities
The interns will assist with the following tasks: 
Project related research activities; 
Drafting reports, policy briefs and other publications; 
Organizing expert meetings and providing support during events. 
Education and Skills
Interns should have an academic background in one or more of the following fields:
Conflict Prevention;
Rule of Law;
Global Governance.
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree at the time of application. A Master’s degree is desirable;
Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to the mission and objectives of The Hague Institute and a strong desire to work in the field of peace and justice; 
Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills; 
Excellent knowledge of the English language and preferably one other official language of the UN;
Fluency in the Dutch language is desirable.
General Information
The Hague Institute for Global Justice offers genuine supervision and support from experienced colleagues, and a dynamic work environment with an international and highly motivated staff. Interns contribute approximately 38 hours per week to the Institute. The Hague Institute offers a gross monthly stipend of €350 (pro rata).
Eligibility
Candidates must be either EU-citizens OR students or recent graduates from a university based in the European Economic Area (EEA) OR already possess the necessary authorization to live and work in the Netherlands; 
Candidates must be able to confirm their availability from 15 August – 23 December 2016.
