Professional Development Program Intern- SPP (CEU) CEU School of Public Policy - Professional Development Program

Co-organized with the Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI), the two-week course ‘Reversing the Resource Curse’ (April 13-24, 2015) is designed to equip a pool of exceptional individuals from civil society, government, international organizations, and academia with the knowledge and tools necessary to help reverse the "resource curse." Specifically, the course will examine the political economy of governance in resource-rich states and look into how it impacts policy debates and practice, both domestically as well as internationally. The course will also offer practical lessons for policy improvement, based on best practices from across the globe, targeting individuals already engaged in the management and/or oversight of extractive industries
The Intern will:
• Assist with organizing and implementing the course, and in particular serve as main logistics focal point for all course participants and speakers;
• Assist in coordinating event-related services such as booking rooms, arranging and overseeing room set-up, and organizing catering;
• Support event participants and speakers by arranging for visa, transportation, accommodation, and other related services;
• Coordinate the engagement of photographers and other media professionals, when needed.;
• Provide other ad-hoc event-related support in the period of April 13-24, 2015.
