2014 Cordwainers MA Scholarship for UK-EU and International Students in UK

University of the Arts London is offering MA scholarship for Home/EU and international students applying to study on the MA Fashion Artefact or MA Fashion Footwear courses at London College of Fashion. The scholarship will cover Home/EU tuition fees and contribute towards international tuition fees. Applications will be assessed according to financial circumstances and academic merit by a panel of tutors at London College of Fashion. The application deadline is 16th May 2014 for September 2014 entry.

-Be an undergraduate student expecting to graduate with a first or 2:1 in a bachelors degree (with Honours) from a recognised higher education institution before 31st July 2014.
-Be a graduate, having already gained first or 2:1 in a bachelor’s degree (with Honours) from a recognized Higher Education institution.
-Applicants without a bachelors degree must be able to demonstrate substantial equivalent and applicable experience.

Scholarship Open for: UK/EU and International students can apply for this MA scholarship.
Number of awards: This MA scholarship will be awarded to one carefully selected student.
Value: The scholarship will cover Home/EU tuition fees and contribute towards international tuition fees. The Cordwainers MA Scholarship will cover Home/E.U tuition fees and will be a contribution towards International tuition fees which will be paid directly from the University’s tuition fees account. Applicants must enrol for their MA in the same academic year for which they have applied for funding. If any applicant is unable to do this for any reason, the scholarship will be withdrawn and the student must apply again for the next academic year.

Tilburg University is offering approximately 38 scholarships for the academic year 2014-2015. Scholarships are open for international students. Scholarships are available for excellent students to pursue master’s program (MA, MSc or LLM) at Tilburg University. EUROCONTROL Graduate Programme

EUROCONTROL'S GRADUATE PROGRAMME

The programme aims to attract dynamic, highly motivated and talented recent graduates with excellent qualifications who are looking for a starting point for an exciting career in ATM in a unique international environment.

The programme consists of three challenging assignments of 1 year in different business areas. On each rotation graduates will learn about the Agency's business and culture, while taking on various responsibilities and project work, and receiving a structured training programme.

A personal mentor will be assigned for the whole duration of the programme to help the graduates achieving the various objectives while promoting their development and assisting them in planning their career.

Required profile

  • Recently graduated with a Master degree (graduation date in or after 2012) in:
1. Air Traffic Management: Aeronautics, Aviation (Management)/Airport Management/Avionics or Aerospace/Communcations Navigation Surveillance/Safety;
2. Economics with specialisation in Political Sciences;
3. Law;
4. Human resources;
  • Excellent academic track record and/or proven extra-curricular achievements;
  • Maximum of two years work-experience after graduation at the closing date of the competition;
  • A strong drive to succeed combined with an ability to think creatively;
  • Open-minded, flexible, highly motivated and ready to take on challenges;
  • Professional conduct in line with corporate behaviours of the Agency, i.e. result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity and team player approach;

2014 Aida Sulayman Arif Bursary for International Students in UK

Applications are invited for PhD bursary within the Department of Art and Archaeology at SOAS, University of London. This PhD bursary is available for full-time or part-time PhD students who will submit the thesis before the end of the academic session 2014/15. This bursary, valued at £6,000 in total, will be given in the form of a stipend to the award holders to help them with living costs, in the final stages of their PhD. Additionally the bursary will also include a partial remission of fees, set at 20% of the continuation fees. Internship Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum

The Secretariat of the Steering Committee of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Civil Society Forum is accepting applications for an internship. The Intern will assist the Director of the Secretariat and the Communications Manager in administrative, policy and communication related tasks.

Candidate’s Profile
The Intern will:
  • Have basic understanding of the workings of the EU, bilateral and multi-lateral tracks of the Eastern Partnership, and civil society involvement in the EaP
  • Be a recent graduate of European Studies, International Relations, Public relations or other related field
  • Be fluent in English and Russian and able to interact verbally and in writing with professionalism; Russian as a native language is an advantage
  • Be an independent, problem solver, team player
  • Be flexible to perform a wide variety of tasks in a small office
  • Ability to start ASAP
Key responsibilities
  • Working on the database of the Civil Society Forum’ members
  • Support in organisation of various events
  • General assistance in administrative tasks
  • Participation in events in conjunction to the Eastern Partnership in Brussels and taking minutes
  • Press monitoring and identifying important information on the Eastern Partnership and the partner countries
  • Occasionally posting information to the website of the Forum
  • Occasional translation of information items for the website of the CSF and other documents from English into Russian and from Russian into English
