Aġenzija
Żgħażagħ was established in February 2011 to promote the
interests of young people and to provide assistance to youth organisations and
young people in achieving their potential.
The aim in establishing Aġenzija Żgħażagħ was to mainstream youth related issues, while further developing youth services. Aġenzija Żgħażagħ’s mission enables further investment in young people, with the overall objective to provide a coherent, cohesive, cross-sectoral and unified Government approach to addressing the needs and aspirations of young people.

Main tasks of the intern in the Support in running of
Local Youth Services:
Support in running of Local Youth Services: These are
community based and regional services that provide youth work intervention in a
range of settings including schools and Youth drop-in centres and on the
streets;
Support in the planning and running of events: Local
Youth Services organise a range of workshops, projects and other activities
aimed at providing opportunities for young people to develop their knowledge
and skills through non-formal activities;
Provide Youth Information: All local services are
considered to be an extension of Agenzija Zghazagh’s National Youth Information
Service providing guidance to young people on health, leisure, volunteering,
employment, education and other issues relevant to them.
An Intern in Support in running of Youth Hubs:
Support in running of Youth Hubs: These are youth
drop-in centres based in post-secondary educational institutions that provide
young people with a safe space to hang out;
Support in the planning and running of Youth Hub events: Youth
Hub’s organise a range of talks, workshops and other activities aimed at
providing opportunities for young people to develop their knowledge and skills
through non-formal activities;
Provide Youth Information: All Youth Hubs are
considered to be an extension of Agenzija Zghazagh’s Youth Information Service
providing guidance to young people on health, leisure, volunteering,
employment, education and other issues relevant to them.
Eligibility
Young people that are already holding an Erasmus or
Leonardo da Vinci scholarship or who are linked to already approved projects;
Have a very good written and oral English skills.
Internship
30 per week, 6/8 hours/day, 4/5 days/week;
Willing to also work some evenings;
Duration: 3-9 months;
Services are provided in different post-secondary
institutions in Malta including: Paola; Naxxar; Gzira; Gozo.
